Dear Tyler,

Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Monday afternoon? Mom feels like such a jerk in plain english because I did not write to you yet again yesterday. Mom has been so out of my routine for a month now and it is quite tough getting back into the swing of things again but I am going to make the effort to do just that. I need it badly. This last few days (5 to be exact) starting back last week put me even further behind because of the issue I was having with my shoulder, bicep and tricep. Today it feels really good. I am definitely on the mend for sure. The past 2 days I have done basically nothing and yesterday was my first day out in over 3 weeks. We went and did some grocery shopping and then picked up a few things that we needed at a couple stores. We were gone for about 3 hours at the most and it really wiped Mom out. We got home and I put everything away and then crashed on the couch until it was time to get dinner going. After that I did the dishes and then groceries were delivered. I put those away and then crashed again on the couch until about 10 pm and then went to bed. Mom has not been in her office since Saturday when I wrote to you and then I was right back out. I haven't even studied for over 10 days because of the move. Mom is hoping that come tomorrow I will be ready to zip into the old routine and get things done! We were also suppose to have a skype call with Tubal and Karen but that didn't happen either. They went to West Virginia to check on the ranch because of the rain and hurricane that they had down there. We postponed the call until this coming Sunday. Mom did chat with Grandpa and Debbie last night for a few. All is well there. They are starting their Christmas shopping already. It is just crazy to think that Thanksgiving is in 21 days and then in 46 days it will be Christmas. Yesterday in the stores people were just going nuts buying everything. I have said it for many years now but the shopping piece of Christmas is so commericalized.  I wish everyone would see that it is not about gift giving and start seeing what the true meaning of the holiday is. start seeing that spending time with family and friends are just as important. You know I have said that for many years now. I used to say it to you, Megan and Christoper as well.
Today has been going by pretty fast for me. I was up at 6:45 am and lounged in bed for a bit and then got up, prepped for dinner tonight as I am making beef stew in the crock pot with garlic cheese biscuits and then ice cream and homemade cookies for dessert. After that I made breakfast, did the dishes, got ready and then now I am writing to you. We turned the clocks back yesterday so now it gets dark at 4:30 pm. Mom will be writing to you earlier in the morning so that I have a full day of studying and then when it gets dark I can call it a day and get the night routine started. Tonight it will be resting and watching TV and then bed for us. The weather again is cloudy and overcast. I don't think the sun is really ever going to come out again. It has been this kind of weather for over 3+ months now. It just plain stinks. Mom needs that sunshine to feel good! My arm is doing pretty good today but after everything that I have done today it is starting to get pretty sore. I will put my aromatherapy pillow on it in a few and that has been helping me out quite a bit the last few days. I put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and the heat makes it feel better. I think in a couple more days I will be back to normal.
Mom misses you like crazy, Ty! You are always in my thoughts and on my mind. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You will forever be my super hero and the wind beneath my wings. I will be lighting the candle for you in a couple hours so know it is burning bright for you. I will whisper to you later this evening as well. Smile when you hear Mom and I will smile back to you. Hope you have fun tonight while I get some rest. Come visit if you can. Thank you my sweet precious son. Mom will be back tomorrow morning with another letter to you and hopefully some updates as well so until then...good night and sweet dreams. It is time for Mom to go put her pillow on her shoulder and arm. I love you pumpkin!
 Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!

Here is the prayer for the day:

The eyes of the Lord are on those who love him, a mighty shield and strong support, a shelter from scorching wind and a shade from noonday sun, a guard against stumbling and a help against falling. Ecclesiasticus 34:19, NRSV
Lord God Almighty, whose eyes keep watch over the whole world, we come before you with the evil from our surroundings still clinging to us. Grant that our lives may be in your hands. Give us your strength to find the way, even through suffering and distress. For we are yours, O Lord our God, and you have chosen your people to be strong and to be freed from all evils. Help us, we beseech you. May we know that you are with us and may your Word bring us blessing, to the glory of your name forever. Amen.

Dear Tyler,

Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Saturday afternoon? Mom wishes that I could say that I am doing well but I am not really. I am sorry that I did not write to you yesterday but there was a lot going on and I never turned on my computer. The other day (Thursday) Mom did something to her arm. I can't even really use it at all as it hurts so bad. Mark says that I pulled muscles in my shoulder, bicep and tricep and I sure do believe him. It is so hard for Mom to do anything with her right hand and I can do nothing with my arm. I try and it hurts so bad that I just want to cry. I am doing everything pretty much left handed or I am doing nothing at all. I wanted to write to you to tell you what was going on so that you didn't think I was just not writing to you. Mom felt so guilty but all I did yesterday was watch movies and lay on the couch. I was so bored but I know that it has to be this way for a few days so that my arm heals up. Sleeping is tough for me. Yesterday, Mark had to leave at 4 am again because on Thursday night he received an email at 8 pm saying that the customer wanted to give it a go for the 4th time. Mark had no warning or nothing. We were all up at 4 am and Princess would not stop whining so that meant Mom was awake that whole time as well. I went to bed at 9:30 pm. It is already 3 pm and Mom was able to dust and vacuum with her left hand and then pay some bills online that needed to be paid. Mom is going to crash on the couch after for the rest of the day and evening. The weather is not that great at all either. It is raining heavy at times and the winds are between 30-40 mph. It is suppose to be that way until tonight around 8 pm. Mom doesn't have any updates for you at all but I will let you know when I do have some. I will write to you every night but it will be a short letter until my arm heals because it is pretty tough to type. I am so sorry pumpkin. I sure hope that your evening is everything that you need and want it to be tonight. Have fun while Mom tries to sleep. Hope you can visit me in my dreams too. I miss you so much and I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my super hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever in my heart, mind, body and soul. I will be back tomorrow so until then.... my sweet precious son...good night and sweet dreams.
 Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!

Here is the prayer for the day:

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5, NIV
Lord our God, rule over us in strength, and grant us your light. Let your Spirit be with us to confirm what has already taken place in our hearts, so that we have joy and trust even under all the strain and stress of this life. Shine into the darkness of the world. Shine for all people. May we be shown more and more clearly what we have been created for. Strengthen our faith for the future, our faith in everything good, for however hidden the good may be, it must at last come to the light. May we and all the world bring praise and honor to you. Amen.
