Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Sunday afternoon? Today is February 3rd and it certainly a special day for Meme and Princess. It is both their birthdays. It s also SuperBowl night too. Mark and Mom sent Meme flowers for her special day and we got Princess a new bowl with her name on it and 4 bags of her favorite puppy treats. Tonight she will get her special cuppy cake too. The weather has been sunny and 40 degrees. Mom was suppose to have a nail appointment today but it was rescheduled to Thursday morning. We went to the grocery store and pet store and then home. That was about all Mom could do. I am so sorry that I didn’t write to you yesterday but honestly I did really nothing all day. I never went into my office at al and I haven’t been in there today either. I am writing to you on my iPad tonight. Mom was feeling pretty good yesterday but today when I woke up I was feeling like poop again 💩 My fever was back and I was just achy and tired. My eyes would just tear up for no reason. Today just has not been a good day. I have been hot and cold off and on. Mark’s friend, Rick is not coming over tonight to watch the football game because he does not want to get sick. I don’t blame him but it is a bummer. I feel bad because I know Mark wanted to spend time with his friend. Maybe he will come over sometime this week to say hello. Mom can make it up to him then with making dinner and dessert.
Anyways.... today is the big day for football. Your Patriots are playing against the LA Rams. Everyone around here is pretty much going crazy. Everyone had Patriots gear on except Mark and Mom...lol. Neither of us have any skin in the game at all this year but we are both hoping that the Rams win it. I guess the best team will win and kick off is in less than 2 hours now. Guess in a few short hours we shall know who is the winner! I know you are routing for your team 😊 Mom will let you know on tomorrow’s letter on the winner!
Not much is going on. The phones have been very quiet for the last 3 nights. I don’t think that anyone will call tonight either so Mom will touch base with everyone within the next couple of days. I will update you when I know of things. Tomorrow is Monday yet again. Mom will be back to school and Mark is back to work. Right now, Mark found the Puppy Bowl for Mom to watch on TV. This year it is team Fluff and team Ruff. There are so many sweet puppies this year plus kangaroos and two sloths. Remember when we would watch it together? We always wanted all the puppies. Some things never changed....lol.
Tonight will be all about eating junk food, having some drinks and watching the game for Mark. For Mom it will be snuggling up in a blanket on the couch, cold meds, lots of water and no junk food...just cough drops and sleep. Ugh! Mom is really hoping to feel better tomorrow that is for sure. Please be with Mom. Thank you my sweet precious son. I miss you so much and I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you will live inside my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom will light the candle for you later tonight and I will whisper to you later tonight as well. Smile when you hear me and I will smile back to you. Mom is going to get going for now. I want to get the pups fed for the night and then just snuggle up on the couch for the night. Mom sure hopes that your evening is all that you want it to be. Have fun while Mom sleeps tonight and come visit me in my dreams tonight if you can. I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you so until then... good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah 🖤
These are my letters to Tyler. They are the conversations that we would have on a daily basis. We can't do that any more. In some small way, this is my tribute to my son and probably my way of healing. Every night we would talk about everything. I can still do that, and I know he's listening.

Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Friday late afternoon? Mom is not doing so great. I wanted to take the time to write to you quickly because I am not feeling well at all. It started yesterday and every hour it got worse. Last night I snuggled on the couch and watched TV all night and then went to bed around 11 pm. I did manage to get some sleep which was nice. Mom slept in too this morning. It was almost 9 am when I woke up and that never happens. I did lounge in bed longer because I had a fever and I just didn't want to move. I played a game while the medicine that I took kicked in. Once it did kick in, Mom got up, made the bed, got ready and then I actually dusted, mopped the floors and vacuumed the floors as well. To say the least after that I felt like crap again. I got something to eat and then came in the office to study. That really did not go all that well but I did try. I will work on it tomorrow though as I do not plan to go out at all. Mom just got done taking more medicine and it is kicking in finally. It takes about 30 + minutes for it to start working. I get kind nausea and light headed for a bit and then it stops. Mom right now is in the process of making dinner while I write to you. Tonight will be another evening of snuggling on the couch and doing nothing again. Mom just needs to relax, drink lots of fluids and kick this nasty cold that I have.
Grandpa called last night to say hello but we didn't talk long. After he heard Mom he said that he wanted me to relax and get some rest. I told him I would call him over the weekend. Meme called this afternoon to thank me for the flowers that I had delivered to her at work for her Birthday (which is Sunday). She said they were really pretty and she was so happy with them. That made Mom feel good. Mom will be sure to call her on Sunday and sing to her. It is also the Super Bowl. We were suppose to have a couple of Mark's friends over but I am not sure if that is going to happened because of Mom being sick. We will see by tomorrow. Not much else is planned that is for sure. It is super cold out there and Mom doesn't need to get worse.
The sun is setting right now and it looks like a sherbet sky. It is light blue, orange, pink and yellow. It is pretty. It is making me smile so thank you my sweet precious son. Mom is sorry that this is going to be short but I will write a longer one to you tomorrow. I miss you so much and I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you are inside my heart, mind, body and soul. I will whisper to you later tonight so smile when you hear me and I will smile back to you. Until tomorrow comes.... good night and sweet dreams pumpkin. Come visit me in my dreams.

Here is the prayer for the day:
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1, NIV
Lord our God, we thank you that we may be your children and may be led by your hand. Give us patience and faith, especially when our way on earth seems difficult and life is full of grief and hardship. You are light. You show us the right path. You go before us in the self-denial and patience taught us by your Word. Protect us on all our ways. May your kingdom grow among us until it can be plainly seen that you, O God, are truly with us doing your work and bringing us joy, even though what we do seems fruitless. But your work endures. In your work we rejoice, and we want to give thanks to you every day. Amen.
