These are my letters to Tyler. They are the conversations that we would have on a daily basis. We can't do that any more. In some small way, this is my tribute to my son and probably my way of healing. Every night we would talk about everything. I can still do that, and I know he's listening.

Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! Happy New Year... it is 2015! I know you don't have any concept of time up there in Heaven but I know that you were celebrating with us last night. Mark & I didn't really do too much. Stopped by to see Marion, Charlie, & the kids really quickly. Then we came back to the hotel to just relax & ring in the new year by watching the ball drop in Times Square. Mark was asleep at like 12:02 am. Oh well.. we have been really busy the last 2 1/2 weeks. We need some down time. We have so much more things to do but we can take 1 day at time for them. I know that you are watching over us so we are in the best of hands! Thank you so much.
Went & saw Grandpa & Debbie for a couple hours today. Debbie is doing really good from her surgery. Doesn't even look like she went through anything 3 days ago! What a trooper!!! Going to see Meme & Bob tomorrow for a bit. Trying to spend as much time as we can with family & friends while we are still in the area. Boy... it is tough but I will do it!
I have missed everyone so much. I miss you so much more though. I will be stopping by to see you tomorrow. I want to go all the time but I have to tell you that it is really hard for Mom to go to the cemetery. You know how much I hate them anyways. I know it is your resting place but I know you are not there. You are everywhere & I know you are with me & everywhere else too. I hope you understand my thought process on this subject. I think you do & I think you approve.
Today is the 1st day of January. A new year... a new beginning for us all. I hope that this year brings Mom & everyone I care about good health, happiness, & love. I always take the time to reflect on the year that is ending & look to & wonder what is in store for the coming year! I have always said it is the time to put everything in the past & keep it there. Every year is a fresh start.
Here is the daily prayer for you on New Year's Day.. January 1~ " The Spirit of the Lord is upon me," Jesus proclaimed. "....to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." Lord , how inadequate for us to set aside one day in the year on which we are officially thankful. Every breath we take, every task we undertake, every life we touch----every part of every day we live should be offered up to you in gratitude! So, Lord, this coming year let me truly enter into your gates with praise & thanksgiving. Your favor is truly upon us because your Spirit dwells within us. This day is a beginning of a new year, so help us begin this year with joy & celebration for having been redeemed in Christ. Amen. I am thankful for everything in my life regardless if it big or small. I thank you God for giving me all that I have in my life. I am thankful each & every day for all my blessings. Thank you. Thank you Thank you. Amen!
The sky has been amazing the past few nights. It has been so dark & the moon & stars have been shining so bright. I have had a smile on my face every time I see them all. Thank you for that, Ty! I hope that tonight is no different. I will whisper to you as I always do. Hope you will be hearing & listening for Mom's voice. May you have a wonderful night. May it bring you peace & rest. Hope you have sweet dreams my sweet precious son. You are forever in my heart, mind, & soul.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
