These are my letters to Tyler. They are the conversations that we would have on a daily basis. We can't do that any more. In some small way, this is my tribute to my son and probably my way of healing. Every night we would talk about everything. I can still do that, and I know he's listening.

Dear Tyler,
Hi pumpkin! How are you doing on this Thursday afternoon? Mom is doing the best she can for today. Every day is better with the meds but still in a lot of discomfort. I was actually able to get some sleep again last night so that sure helped out. I woke up at 3 am, then 5:30 am & again at 6:30 am and decided to just stay up. I took my medicine at 7:15 am and had a little something to eat and then I lounged in bed for a bit. Mark left around 9 am to go take a certification exam and Mom got up then, made the bed, got ready and then I headed out the door at 11 am. I had a nail appointment and I wanted to go so I decided that I would try it. I was in pain the whole time there but I stuck it out until the end. I have pretty nails again at least...lol. Now Mom is home writing you your letter and then I am going to go sit on the couch and relax the rest for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Mom is kind of concerned about the drive to NH tomorrow and if I can actually do it or if I need to stay home while Mark goes. I talked to Mark about it already and he said that we could play it out and make the decision tomorrow morning. Guess I will just wait and see until then!
Last night was quiet. I did get the chance to chat with Aunt Beck yesterday afternoon. She filled me in on Bean. She went on Tuesday to see the doctor and they took 16 vials of blood and told her that they would be in touch. The office called her about 30 minutes later saying that some things were "out of whack" and she needed to go to the ER immediately. She called Aunt Beck in tears and was so scared. Poor thing. Her BF met her at the ER and she had more blood drawn there and said to go home, rest, drink plenty of water and go to the doctors again Wednesday morning. I guess they took more blood and she is waiting on those results still. I have texted Aunt Beck to check in so Mom will continue to keep you posted as I know. I feel so bad for her. I wish she didn't have to go through any of it. I know that you are with her and watching over her along with Pepe. I hope that everything will be a simple fix for Bean. I spoke to Meme briefly as well last night. All is well there. Haven't chatted with Grandpa all week but I am sure that he feels he needs to give me time to rest. I will try to call him tonight though and just talk for a little bit. Oh yeah.... Mom wanted to tell you that Spencer (your brother from another Mother) got married last weekend. He posted it on social media. Mom was surprised but happy for him. I knew he went through h*ll with his ex so it is nice to see him happy again. I feel bad that he never gets to see his little boy though. He is in NH now and the ex and son are in FL still. I guess that is a whole messed up thing. Spencer wants to see him but I guess the ex doesn't want that. How sad is that? I spoke to Megan last week. She is having a tough time too. She is basically playing the role of a single parent when she isn't one. Guess the Dad of the 2 kids is always busy or have excuses to why he can't spend time with them. Meg is a good Mom and she is so upset seeing her kids hurting. Mom gave her some advice. She was sweet and said that meant a lot to her and she thanked me. I hope things get better with her as well. I know you watch over them too. I know she talks to you a lot as well. That makes me smile. Please continue to watch over us all like I know you do. It means a lot to Mom. I miss you and love you beyond any words that could ever be said. You are my hero, my wind beneath my wings, and the shining star that leads my path daily. You are always on my mind, in my heart, mind, body and soul. Tonight I will whisper to you like I always do so listen for my voice and smile when you hear Mom. I will do the same to you my sweet precious son. I will light the candle as soon as I am done writing to you and will let it burn throughout the afternoon and evening. Mom sure hopes that your evening will be filled with all the things you need to do and may like to do as well. Have fun while I sleep tonight and if you can come visit me in my dreams. Thank you pumpkin. I will be back tomorrow morning with another letter to you before we head out for the weekend. Mom is not sure if I will get the chance to write to you Saturday or not. I will bring my iPad with me just incase I can sneak in a quick letter to you. If not then I will write to you on Sunday afternoon when we return home. Mom is going to get going for now. I have laundry going and I still need to do a few small things and it takes me a lot longer to move around right now. Until tomorrow comes.... Good night and sweet dreams. I love you.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the prayer for the day:
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9–10, NIV

Lord our God, we rejoice that we may be called your children. In our weakness we ask you to shelter us in your hands. Strengthen us in the hope and faith that our lives will surely go the right way, not through our strength but through your protection. Grant that through your Spirit we may come to know more and more that you are with us. Help us to be alert in our daily life and to listen whenever you want to say something to us. Reveal the power and glory of your kingdom in many people, to the glory of your name, and hasten the coming on earth of all that is good and true. Amen.

Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Wednesday afternoon? The weather is beautiful here with the sun shining and the temps in the 80's. No real humidity today which is a nice break! Mom needs to explain to you why I did not write to you at all yesterday. On Saturday, Mom was suspecting that someone was going on and something was wrong but I thought that maybe just maybe it was all in my head. Sunday was better so I thought that everything was a fluke but by yesterday morning Mom realized that I needed to go to Urgent care and be seen. Mark was working from home yesterday morning and I went in and told him that I was in a lot of pain and I thought that I needed to go. He rearranged all his work calls and we headed to see the doctor. Mom diagnosed herself way before we got there but the test showed that Mom was right and that I have a severe bladder infection. We got home around 11:30 am and Mom had to eat something right off so that I could take the antibiotic that was prescribed to me. I did the dishes and then I sat on the couch all day long. Mark got called into the office for the afternoon unexpectedly so Mom was alone but it was okay as I was pretty out of it. The medicine made me pretty tired and I was in a lot of pain for most of the day. We had a pretty good thunderstorm as well so Mom sitting with the pups was an excellent idea as I was able to give them my attention and hold them both. Mark got home at 6 pm and we had dinner. Meme called to see how I was doing and then Mom was in bed at 9:30 pm last night. I was completely exhausted from no sleep the last 3 nights. I never put my computer on at all and I was so tired I could barely see my cell phone to write to you. Mom is so sorry though. I really don't like when I don't write to you. I am sure you saw Mom and understand so....
Today, Mom has had 3 doses of the medicine. I am still in pain but not at all like yesterday so I know that the meds are working slowly but in the right direction. I got some good sleep but I am still pretty tired so Mom is taking today to relax again and not really do anything. I have put studying off for another day as well. The exam that I am doing is tough and I need a clear head to make sure that I am doing it correctly. Mom wanted to log into my computer so that I could write to you and then I am headed to the couch and I think a nap is in my very near future...lol. Mark got to work from home today so that is nice that he is here with me. I also packed up the stuff for the pups and started packing my bag for the weekend as well. I colored my hair too and tomorrow I have a nail appointment in the morning that I am hoping that I can still go to but it really depends on how I feel. I will be going to bed early so I am sure I will be good. Mom tried calling Aunt Beck to see how Bean made out at her appointment yesterday but I got the machine so I let a message. I am sure she will call either later today or tomorrow. I will touch base with Grandpa either tonight or tomorrow as well and will be seeing everyone in a couple days. Mom is still crossing her fingers that the weekend weather will be good. I am looking it up now. Looks like Friday is sunny and 88 degrees and Saturday day is sunny and 82 degrees. Saturday night and Sunday when we are leaving it will be all rain and we will come home to rain as well. Mom is okay with that. I just want Saturday morning to be beautiful so I can come visit with you for a little bit before the wedding in the afternoon. I think that is about all that I have for you today. Not much at all but sometimes quiet is a good thing.
Mom is hoping that tonight you will have a wonderful evening with doing all kinds of things that you would like to do and need to do. I sure hope that you will have the time to come visit me in my dreams or at least peek in on me while I am getting some rest. I will light the candle for you tonight as I didn't last night because the lid to the candle vacuumed sealed to the glass and I couldn't remove it without breaking it so I waited for Mark to get home. By that time it was late so I decided to just not do it at all. Mom will whisper to you later this evening as well. Hope that you smile when you hear Mom and I will smile back to you my sweet precious son. I miss you and love you more than words can say. To the moon and back and all the way around the world. You will always be my hero and the wind beneath my wings. You forever will be my bright shining star that is guiding the way for me. I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you so until then.... good night and sweet dreams tonight.

Here is the prayer for the day:
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:23–24, NIV
Lord our God, we thank you for being among us as our Father, for letting us be your children on earth. We thank you that as your children we can find life in spirit and in truth. Grant that each of us may find how our lives on earth can be lifted up by your Spirit. Your Spirit can bring us what we do not possess, so that our daily work, all our striving and struggling for the outward things of life, may be pervaded by what is higher and greater. Your Spirit can keep us from falling into base and petty ways, from getting lost in earthly experiences which do not last, no matter how much they demand our attention. We thank you for all you have done for your children. Continue to help us, that we may serve you every day in gladness and gratitude. Amen.
