Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! Happy Groundhog Day to you! the dang groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so that means 6 more weeks of winter! I think there are several people who would like to play Wack-a-mole with Phil...lol! How are you doing on this Friday afternoon? Mom is doing alright. Pretty tired today as last night I did not get much sleep. Mark's remote cut over went until after midnight & neither one of us got to sleep until after 1 am. We were also woken up at 6 am to plows. Yup, it snowed again last night here. Poor Mark is sick now with a sore throat, fever, running nose & sneezing. He was trying to relax all day long but he couldn't as he had to work. Mom is hoping he will take it easy this weekend so that he can feel better by next weekend for our 3 day getaway. Mark is suppose to go out for the day tomorrow with a friend of his but I really hope he decided to just stay home & relax. Mom will be going out for a few hours tomorrow to get my nails done & do grocery shopping but then I will be back home to hopefully take care of Mark. This flu is going around like crazy & Mom does not want to get it at all. Grandpa is doing better & Debbie actually sounded a little better last night as well. Mom has been calling nightly to check in on them to see how they are doing. Meme is doing better but is still really tired & poor Bob says he is doing pretty good when you ask him but Meme says he is not doing very well at all. They were suppose to go with us next weekend but they have decided not to go. Bob said he was thankful for the invite but he was going to decline. Mom knows that he must be pretty sick as he always jumps at the chance to get out to go somewhere. Mom is hoping that everyone feels better & soon. I hate seeing them all this way. I am 3 hours away but boy it feels like a lot longer than that.
The snow has stopped & the sun peaked out for a little bit today. The temps are cold though. The sun will be setting in about an hour. Maybe tonight I will get the chance to see the moon shining bright. I did see the super moon the other night. That was amazing. I tried to take pictures of it but they did not come out so I just sat there for a few minutes & admired it. I whispered to you then. I hope you heard Mom. I will whisper to you later tonight just like I always do every night. Be listening for my voice & smile a big cheshire cat smile that you used to have for Mom. I will smile right back to you. Mom is thinking that tonight will be an early night for both Mark & I. I think Mark will be sleeping before I am though. He needs the rest so I am hoping so. Other than tomorrow, the weekend should be fairly quiet. It is Superbowl Sunday. Patriots vs the Eagles. It should be a good game. Mark is rooting for the Eagles & Mom has no choice but to root for the Patriots. It is okay. I think really that all those sports are some how rigged. If the Patriots win that will be the 6th one. Don't get me wrong, I like the team I just don't really care for the QB. Mom always thinks of you though as you liked them so I have no problem taking one for the team...lol! That is about all that Mom has for you today on what has been going on & any updates that I have. I will be sure to post more when I know them. Here is the saying for the day though:
People with purpose, goals, & visions have no time for drama. They invest their energy in creativity & focus on living a positive life.
Mom hopes that tonight will be a nice peaceful evening for you doing the things you need to do & want to do. Have fun while I am sleeping. Hope that you can either visit me in my dreams or be by my side tonight. Either way, thank you my sweet precious son! I miss you so much. I love you more than anything in this world that I live in. To the moon & back & all the way around the world. You will always be my hero & the wind beneath my wings. You forever live & have a place in my heart, mind, body & soul. Mom will be back tomorrow with another letter to you. I need to get going for now though as the time is ticking & I need to get dinner for the pups & dinner going for us as well. Until tomorrow... good night & sweet dreams. Fly high & free.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here are the prayers for the day:
May God show Himself strong on your behalf. May He show you how to wisely and strategically stand in this place. May you raise your shield of faith and block every fiery arrow the enemy sends your way. May you point your sword and dismantle every enemy scheme fashioned against you. May you know God’s loving and intimate presence right here, right now. And may you experience firsthand how mighty, how powerful, and how faithful He truly is. God is mighty to save, He’s with you in battle, and He’s equipped you to win. May blessed and nourishing sleep be yours tonight!
There's an appointed time for every God-given breakthrough. Jesus knows when your accumulative prayers will make the most difference. He knows when your long-awaited breakthrough will bear the most fruit; He knows when your blessing will not be a burden. May you trust Him in the meantime. You've things to do in this season: Rest. Wait. Trust. Obey. Give thanks. Enjoy joy. And walk forward in faith. Breakthrough is on the horizon. Listen for His voice and do what He says this weekend. Bless you.
These are my letters to Tyler. They are the conversations that we would have on a daily basis. We can't do that any more. In some small way, this is my tribute to my son and probably my way of healing. Every night we would talk about everything. I can still do that, and I know he's listening.

Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! Happy February 1st! How are you doing on this Thursday afternoon? Mom is doing okay for a day that is again overcast & so cloudy out. The temps were pretty nice though. Mom was able to take the pups for a long walk this afternoon. It was nice. We all enjoyed it. Mom was up early this morning feeding the pups, making coffee for Mark as he slept in. He doesn't get the chance to do that to often so when he can Mom lets him take advantage of it. I don't think he is feeling all that great either though. He seems to be off today.... bundled up, eyes are glassy & watery. He has been taken cold medicine but I don't really think that is helping him. Honestly, Mom thinks that he is working way too much. he was up yesterday from 7 am until 7 pm working, on the phones, etc... this morning he was at his computer & realized that he had a cut over this evening that started at 8 pm & goes until whenever it is done. Most likely until the wee hours of the morning. He has been working all day long as well. I don't understand what his company thinks sometimes. How do they expect someone to work all day & then do a cut over all night into the next morning with no breaks or sleep. These are the times that I worry about him. At least he will have the chance to eat dinner tonight & maybe squeeze in a quick nap for about an hour tonight before he has to start again. Tonight, Mom will be watching TV in bed snuggled up with the pups. That way we are all in one room & not making too much noise for Mark. Usually the pups will stay pretty quiet if we are in bed. It will be an early night though as we have to get up in the morning & take the pups to go get their nails clipped at the vets. We have to be there at 9 am & it will take us 20 minutes to get there. We shouldn't be that long but still after the day & night Mark will have had, he is going to be so tired & no matter how short of a trip to the vets it will be will seem like a long time to him. Mom may just have to go by herself this time with them. That should be an adventure for sure. Anyways.... everything else is going well. Mom had a tough day yesterday. I guess my head was just not into my studies & I needed to just walk away for the day. I came back to it today & I was refreshed & had a clearer head. I was able to understand want was needed & I started it & got quite a bit done. I will finish it up tomorrow afternoon.
Last night Mom spoke to Grandpa & Debbie. Debbie went back to the doctors in the afternoon. They both indeed have the flu again. They are on all kinds of medicine. Debbie is out of work until February 12th & hopefully Grandpa will take some time off as well to get better. I will call them later this evening just to check in. Meme is still also sick & so is Bob. Mom is really hoping that everyone feels better really soon. Please watch over them for me. Thank you my sweet precious son. That is all the updates I have for you for the day. More to come I am sure of over the weekend. Here is the saying for the day:
I promise myself to be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind. To talk health, happiness & prosperity to every person I meet. To make all friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them. To look at the sunny side of everything & make my optimism come true. To think only the best, to work only for the best & to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own. To forget the mistakes of the past & press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful expression at all times & give a smile to every living creature I meet. To give so much time to improving myself that I have no time to criticize others. To be too late large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear & too happy to permit the presence of trouble. To think well of myself & to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on my side so long as I am true to the best that is in me.
The evening sky is upon us now. It is late once again as I have let time escape me yet again. Mom hopes that your evening is filled with everything that you need & want it to be. Come be with Mom if you can. I miss you & love you more than all the stars in the sky. To the moon & back & all the way around the world. You forever will be my hero & the wind beneath my winds. Mom will whisper o you as I always do later this evening so smile when you hear Mom & I will smile back to you. I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you so until then... good night & sweet dreams my bright shining star.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here are the prayers for the day:
May God unearth the unsettled and unhealed places in your life so He can heal, renew, and restore you. May He reveal a fresh revelation of His love and a new assurance of His grace. May He pour the oil of joy and gladness over your head. May He give you pools of blessing to splash your feet in. May His unfathomable greatness bring a fresh mystery and power to your prayers and perspective. Bless you this day!
In those places where you feel like sighing, may Jesus put a new song in your heart. Where you're weary from holding on, may He give you new courage to stand strong. Where you've waited long to see the breakthrough, may He very soon do what only He can do. Sometimes it feels like He's slow to intervene but the truth is, He's meticulous and miraculous, He's sovereign and strategic. He knows what He's doing and He deserves our trust. May we all rest in Him tonight. He'll do the heavy lifting. Blessings to you!
