These are my letters to Tyler. They are the conversations that we would have on a daily basis. We can't do that any more. In some small way, this is my tribute to my son and probably my way of healing. Every night we would talk about everything. I can still do that, and I know he's listening.

Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Friday evening? Mom is doing alright. Today is December 25th...that is right, it is Christmas Day so Merry Christmas to you in Heaven. Mom has been pretty busy all day long. It is 8:40 pm and I am just getting around to writing to you . I am completely exhausted though but I couldn't skip a letter to you on Christmas Day. This letter will be short but I will write you a longer one tomorrow....I promise. Mom did not get to sleep until after 2 am. The renters around here were partying and drinking, playing loud music and lighting fireworks off. The pups were scared and the partying was right on both sides of us this time. Mom is so sick of the renters here. They are so disrespectful and I can not wait to move out of this place. Everyone finally stopped at 2 am or at least that is when I finally fell asleep just to get up by 7 am. The pups were fed and walked and then Mom immediately started making homemade muffins for breakfast. We did our gift exchange and cleaned up and then everyone kind of treated it like a regular Friday afternoon. Meme went into her room and watched tv while Bob fell asleep all afternoon. Mark put his gifts away and so did Mom. We all made the phone calls we needed to and then at 3 pm Mom went downstairs and started prepping our dinner. As I got that done, Bean called. It was so nice to hear from her. She and Justin are doing well. I told her that I would call her on Sunday for her Birthday. Once I was off the phone with Brandy, our dinner was done and Mom had to get everything set. We ate dinner, I cleaned up and did all the dishes. We fed the pups, walked them again and then we started to play poker. We ended poker at 8 pm. Mom cleaned up the dessert dishes again and then Meme and Bob went to bed. Mark is in the bedroom with the pups while I write to you from my office computer. I told him I would be about 20 minutes. We are going to watch a movie and then crash. Hopefully after the 2 calls to the police on the 2 houses this evening, they will be quiet tonight but I have my doubts. Anyways....The winner of our poker game this evening was Bob. The prize for $50.00 cash. He was happy! We were happy for him. The last hand before us quitting, Mom won with a straight. Too bad it wasn't for the win...oh well! Maybe next time. I am glad Bob won though. He rarely has money ever and he can go buy something that he wants. We all had a nice Christmas. We got some really nice gifts from one another. It was a very quiet day but it was like that everywhere that we called...well everywhere except here where we live that is. These 2 houses have at least 30+ people in them...way over capacity that is for sure but no one cares. They live in Florida too. They decided to come here and gather instead of staying home like the rest of us had to. This is exactly the reason why the Covid is not going away at all. No one has any respect for others. It is disgusting and Mom lets it be known that they are the reason. I don't hold my tongue. I say exactly what is on my mind. I don't care. No one cares about us....Even as I type to you, I can hear someone around us is playing very loud music. I shouldn't hear a thing. Again... Mom can not wait to move out of this sh*t hole. It used to be super nice and now... it is a trash pit. In 3 months, Mark and Mom will start looking for new places and it can't get here fast enough. I know you will be with us when that time comes and we are looking. Mom thanks you.
We all spoke to Mark's side of the family...his brothers, his Dad and StepMom, close family friends and Mom spoke to Aunt Beck, Bean, Grandpa, Debbie, Auntie Kristina and made several text and messages to fiends as well. All in all it was a busy but quiet day in this house like Mom said above. This year was hard. So many were left home alone with no one to be with. Some were facing this day without family members...members that they lost. So much us all or will many still be struggling? Time will tell for all these things but for today it doesn't make it any easier on us. We all fear the unknown and it makes many scared, anxious and even angry. Christmas this year for so many was completely different. It is suppose to be the merriest and happiest time and pretty much it was anything but.
I know that Mom missed you like crazy. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you live in my heart, mind, body and soul. I will put the warmer on when I get into the bedroom. I will whisper to you like I always do. Smile for me and I will smile to you. Have fun while I get some much needed sleep. Come visit me in my dreams if you can. Thank you. Please continue to keep us safe and healthy. I know you watch over Mom and the rest of us. Thank you my sweet precious son. Mom needs to get going for now but I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you and I will fill you in on what we are doing tomorrow evening. Until tomorrow comes...good night and sweet dreams. Give everyone in heaven a big hug and kiss from me. I miss them all so much too.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah 💖⛄🎄🎅💚

Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this December 24th? You guessed it...today is Christmas Eve but here it really is just a typical Thursday. Everyone was up at their usual times and we are doing our usual things. Mark is working, Meme is downstairs and Bob is sleeping. Mom has been keeping busy all day long as well. I, however, are still in my jammies...lol. I was up at 6 am. I have been on the go all day long. I will be taking a very long hot shower in a bit though. I just wanted to get a few things done before so. Mark gets to stop work at 2 pm so I have about 30 minutes to get things set. Then it is downstairs we go to try and make a dessert for tomorrow...that should be fun...lol. I think tomorrow will be a typical day as well. Mom will make breakfast for everyone and then our Christmas meal will be at dinner time. It will be ready by 4 pm. We will have cheese and crackers, chips and salsa and treats to snack on all day long though. No one will go hungry that is for sure!
Mom is really missing you more so than ever. I remember Christmas Eve pasts and it was our time to celebrate. We would do a dinner and then open gifts so that everyone could sleep in. Christmas day was having family around and having more presents and food and then Christmas night we would have all kinds of desserts and Megan and Chris would come over to exchange gifts. Those were the days and those were the times. Since you left, nothing is the same. We treat this day like every other day. Families this year will not be together because of the pandemic. Lots of sad faces will be seen. A lot of people are alone this holiday and it just is not a cheerful time. It is hard. Many folks are having their first holiday without a loved one or loved ones. Mom is praying for everyone. I pray for peace and love. I pray for blessings of another year ending and a new year beginning. I sure hope that you send Mom a sign to let me know you are near me. I will be watching out for them. Thank you.
Tonight will be a raining evening. Lots of places are getting rain today and tomorrow so that dampens the spirits as well. It will be sunny again here tomorrow but it will only be in the lower 40's...yikes! That is super cold for this state but I will embrace it because the warm weather will be coming again! We are going to watch our last Christmas movie of this week after dinner. Christmas night we are playing Christmas Poker...the winner receives a special gift too. Hope you are on Mom's side for that...lol! May the best person win!!!! That about covers it for tonight and tomorrow. I will make calls all afternoon to our family and friends. I will write to you later in the day. I will update you on everything as well. I have wanting to tell you about something that will be going on Saturday evening but I think I will wait until tomorrows letter to tell you. That way I have something special to write to you about.
It is going on 2 pm and Mom has hardly anything done that she needs to do...go figure, right? I need to get my butt in gear and get this stuff done so that I can make that dessert. I will light a candle for you tonight and Mom will whisper to you before I go to bed. Smile for me and I will smile to you my sweet precious son. Have fun tonight. Come visit me in my dreams if you can. Always remember that you are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. You are forever in my heart, mind, body and soul. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. Until tomorrow comes....good night and sweet dreams later.
Merry Christmas Eve to you in Heaven, Tyler. I miss you.

Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Wednesday afternoon? Mom is doing alright. It sure has been a busy day the last few days...lol. I am sorry that I didn't write to you yesterday but Mom was up early and out the door around 11 am. I got home at 3:30 pm and then I needed to do a few things before getting dinner set and the pups fed. I crashed hard at 10 pm last night. I was exhausted. Today has been no different. Mom was up at 7 am, as usual. The pups were fed and walked and then Mom came right upstairs and started her day. I did a bit of rearranging in my office and in the bedroom closet and then I made the bed and got ready. I left again at 11:30 am. I returned home at 2 pm. I came right upstairs and started going through emails and making calls, etc... I paid 28 bills and got that out of the way as well. Now I am on hold and waiting to speak to someone so I decided to write to you while doing this. Mom is multitasking again...lol!
I can't believe that today is the day before Christmas Eve. My mind is blown. Tomorrow, Mom is going no where at all. I am taking the day away from the computer and I am baking all kinds of desserts for us for Christmas Day. I have been on the go for the last 6 days so a relaxing day will be wonderful for me. I will enjoy the down time and just bake. Mom will come upstairs and write to you though so don't worry! Mom wishes you were here to help me bake. You were always my egg cracker and stirrer. I sure miss you so much. More than words my sweet precious son. Mom always will. You were always my everything and you still are. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you live in my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom will be sure to light a candle later for you and I will also whisper to you before I go to bed. Smile for me and I will smile to you. Have fun while I sleep tonight. Hope you do all the things that are needed of you and a few things that you want to do as well. Come visit me in my dreams tonight if you can. Thank you. Please watch over Mom and the rest of us. Keep us safe and healthy. Thank you for this as well.
Mom is so sorry that this letter is short but I promise to write you a longer one tomorrow. It is after 5 pm and I have to get the pups fed and walked and then get dinner for us. It is also Day 5 of our Christmas Movie night. Not sure how that is going to go. Meme is in a bad mood and Bob is sleeping all the time still and saying nothing. Guess we shall see....I will update you on tomorrows letter. Until tomorrow comes....good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah 🎅🎄⛄💖
