Dear Tyler,

Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this December 24th? You guessed it...today is Christmas Eve but here it really is just a typical Thursday. Everyone was up at their usual times and we are doing our usual things. Mark is working, Meme is downstairs and Bob is sleeping. Mom has been keeping busy all day long as well. I, however, are still in my jammies...lol. I was up at 6 am. I have been on the go all day long. I will be taking a very long hot shower in a bit though. I just wanted to get a few things done before so. Mark gets to stop work at 2 pm so I have about 30 minutes to get things set. Then it is downstairs we go to try and make a dessert for tomorrow...that should be fun...lol. I think tomorrow will be a typical day as well. Mom will make breakfast for everyone and then our Christmas meal will be at dinner time. It will be ready by 4 pm. We will have cheese and crackers, chips and salsa and treats to snack on all day long though. No one will go hungry that is for sure!

Mom is really missing you more so than ever. I remember Christmas Eve pasts and it was our time to celebrate. We would do a dinner and then open gifts so that everyone could sleep in. Christmas day was having family around and having more presents and food and then Christmas night we would have all kinds of desserts and Megan and Chris would come over to exchange gifts. Those were the days and those were the times. Since you left, nothing is the same. We treat this day like every other day. Families this year will not be together because of the pandemic. Lots of sad faces will be seen. A lot of people are alone this holiday and it just is not a cheerful time. It is hard. Many folks are having their first holiday without a loved one or loved ones. Mom is praying for everyone. I pray for peace and love. I pray for blessings of another year ending and a new year beginning. I sure hope that you send Mom a sign to let me know you are near me. I will be watching out for them. Thank you.

Tonight will be a raining evening. Lots of places are getting rain today and tomorrow so that dampens the spirits as well. It will be sunny again here tomorrow but it will only be in the lower 40's...yikes! That is super cold for this state but I will embrace it because the warm weather will be coming again! We are going to watch our last Christmas movie of this week after dinner. Christmas night we are playing Christmas Poker...the winner receives a special gift too. Hope you are on Mom's side for that...lol! May the best person win!!!! That about covers it for tonight and tomorrow. I will make calls all afternoon to our family and friends. I will write to you later in the day. I will update you on everything as well. I have wanting to tell you about something that will be going on Saturday evening but I think I will wait until tomorrows letter to tell you. That way I have something special to write to you about.

It is going on 2 pm and Mom has hardly anything done that she needs to do...go figure, right? I need to get my butt in gear and get this stuff done so that I can make that dessert. I will light a candle for you tonight and Mom will whisper to you before I go to bed. Smile for me and I will smile to you my sweet precious son. Have fun tonight. Come visit me in my dreams if you can. Always remember that you are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. You are forever in my heart, mind, body and soul. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. Until tomorrow comes....good night and sweet dreams later.

Merry Christmas Eve to you in Heaven, Tyler. I miss you.

always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah 🎄🎅⛄💚
