Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Sunday evening? Mom is doing okay but I am completely exhausted from the last 4 days with everyone being here. There is so much to tell you about the last few days so I will fill you in on everything in a minute. Mom is sorry that I did not write you a letter last night but I was so tired and as we all went to bed again, someone was letting off fireworks and Princess and Ozzy freaked out. Mom was up with them until about 1 am while everyone else was asleep. I couldn't do anything because I would have woken up everyone so I just stayed quiet and finally fell asleep. I was up again at 6 am though. It will be a very early night for us here tonight as tomorrow is Monday and Mark is back to work and Mom is going to take the day off from school to paint our bookshelves while it is nice out. They will dry pretty fast that way. Mom will be back to studying on Tuesday though so I can finish up my class this week.
So this is what happened since Thursday! Everyone arrived here around 11 am. They came in, had some coffee, and had something to eat as well. We debated whether or not we were going to go anywhere but decided against it as we ordered pizza. Our pizza came 3 hours later. We ordered at 1:30 and it arrived at 4:30 pm. After we ate we all relaxed and visited with one another. Mark, Grandpa and Bob went and got ice cream for everyone. Mom didn't get any as my tummy was acting up but that was okay. We basically visited all evening and got everything out and set for bed around 9 pm. Friday morning Mom, Meme and Debbie left and got our nails done. We got back home around 12 noon and then we all headed to the mall to do some shopping. We were there for a couple hours and then headed back here for a BBQ that evening. After dinner, we played poker. That was a blast. Mom won! We went to bed around 10:30 pm and we were up again around 7 am Saturday morning. Things were going wonderful until there was a problem with Ozzy and Skittles. Mom was getting vitamins out for the pups and I was not even looking down at the pups and something happened and Ozzy and Skittles went at it. Skittles got really hurt. He was bleeding from the mouth and we felt so bad. It was awful. He was shaking and so afraid. We all had plans to go into Boston for the day but those plans had to change because of what happened. We decided to go to a few stores to go shopping and Skittles came with us as Princess and Ozzy stayed home. We were going to go out to eat for dinner but we couldn't as we had Skittles so we were near a grocery store and Mom suggested that I just make dinner. We got back home and Mom made homemade meatballs and spaghetti with rolls. We had an early dinner but it worked out well. Skittles was really in rough shape. He was limping, not eating or drinking and Mom and Mark were worried. We offered to Meme several times to take him to the vets and we would pay the bill but Meme said no. After dinner, we played poker again and we all had a good time. Bob won last night. We all went to bed around 10:30 pm again and like I said we were all tired from the day and the heat and all we wanted to do was fall asleep but the fireworks kept Mom up. This morning we were up at 7 am and we had breakfast and chatted for awhile. Everyone got ready and Mark, Grandpa and Bob went and grabbed lunch while Mom, Meme and Debbie stayed here. We ate lunch and sat around and visited before they had to leave at 2 pm. Skittles was doing a lot better today. Mom got him to eat and drink a lot and he even barked at the neighbors...lol. He went for a couple walks as well and did really good. Mom was super happy to see this progress in less than 24 hours. Everyone left at 2:30 pm today. That was our weekend here for the last 4 days! Always interesting, never a dull moment with many laughs! It is always sad when that time comes. Mom gets bummed out. I love our family very much and I miss them. I like being close by and having them come here for long visits. I hope we get to do it again before summer/fall season ends. We talked about you a lot over these last 4 days. I hope you heard us talking. I hope you smiled knowing how much we love and miss you. Mom misses you bunches. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever in my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom will be sure to whisper to you later this evening when I go to bed. Smile when you hear Mom and I will be sure to smile back to you. I sure am hoping to see a beautiful sunset tonight. Mom will be looking out for it. Mom and Mark are going to relax tonight and kick our feet up and watch a little TV for the night and then go to bed. If you get the chance tonight, come visit Mom in my dreams. I would like that very much. I hope that your evening will be fun filled with things that you may need to do and may want to do as well! Mom will be back tomorrow night with another letter. I need to get going for now though so that I can make dinner for Mark and I as it is almost 6 pm. Pups have been fed already and they are just wiped out. They are both sound asleep. Please continue to watch over us all. Thank you my sweet precious son. Big hugs and kisses to you, Tyler. Mom loves you with all her heart and soul. Until tomorrow comes..... good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the prayer for the day:
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:17–18, NIV
Lord our God, our Father in heaven and on earth, we are thankful that you have a people to whom you say, "You are mine." Grant that we too may belong to this people. Strengthen us in the faith that we belong to you, so that we can come to know your rule and your justice. Protect us on all the paths we follow during our time on earth. The times are evil, but come what may, every single one of us has in his heart the certainty, "We are yours." You have long watched over us and kept us safe. Again and again we affirm, "We are yours, Lord our God, through Jesus Christ our Savior." Amen.
