Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Friday afternoon? Mom has been super busy all day long today and never realized how late it was until Mark called saying he was on the road to travel home. It is already 3:35 pm. Mom was up at 6 am this morning. I was out of bed at 6:45 am feeding the pups, and getting things set for Mark to head on the road to the customer site again. Today made 4 days in a row. 3 more days than what he thought he was going to have to do. This week has been very long for him. He is tired from the travel and long days and he is very sore. These kinds of days are now very hard on him physically. He knows it as well but he is too stubborn to say anything. Mom just hopes and prays that he listens to his body and he is safe. I don't want to see him injury himself again as this time he may not be so lucky.
Mom laid in bed for a short while this morning with the pups cuddle up beside me. I then got up, got ready, made the bed, did some laundry, mopped the floors and then got something to eat. After that was finished, Mom gathered the trash and took it to the dumpsters. Usually Mark does that part but he wasn't here so I needed to do it. Around 12 noon, I came into my office and I chatted with Auntie Kristina for a bit and then I had to make a few more calls and send emails out regarding the house. Tomorrow will be 1 month out from closing. That came really fast! We leave in less than 75 days as well. Mom booked the movers today and Monday I will be booking the vehicle transport. The last thing to book are flights and a rental car. The rest is to sit and count down the days until all the deposits need to be paid in full. Reality is really starting to set in for us all. Grandpa and Debbie will be here on Monday and Tuesday to visit so I am sure we will be chatting with them a lot about the home and what to expect, etc....
I am sorry that the last couple of letters on here have been short. The 1st day was when we had that long thunderstorm. It was a good one that lasted about 2 1/2 hours. The next day was crazy busy for Mom. It was a day of emails, text messages and phone calls. Yesterday was basically the same way as well. Today was a lighter day so I could write more to you and explain it all. This weekend will be all about looking at things to see what we can get rid of that we don't need and then do some minor packing. Trying to get a head start on things this year. We did well last year but I would like to have more time to do it this time and just relax towards the end. Mom is really hoping that we can reduce all our stuff so we won't have to pay so much for the movers. I am going to be thinking smart this time. I have so much stuff that I don't use at all.....so why have it??? I know everyone else is doing the same thing as well. Mom has lost a lot of things in the past years for material things and I have given away a lot as well. I need only what is important to me now and what I really use on a daily basis.
I wish I could talk to you and hear your voice. I know you would have some good advice for me when it comes to all this stuff. I sure hope that you send me signs along the way to help me continue the path that I am on. I miss you so much my sweet precious son. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you live inside my heart, mind, body and soul. I have had your candle lit for the last few hours. I have whispered to you today already and will again later tonight. I sure hope you smile that big smile that I love and miss so much. I will smile to you too. Have fun while I sleep tonight and come visit me in my dreams if you can. Mom will be back tomorrow afternoon with another letter to you. For now it is time for Mom to get things set for the evening routine....feeding the pups and making dinner....tonight is your favorite...tacos! Until tomorrow comes....good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
PS Please watch over Aunt Beck for us. She flies to Italy tomorrow night. She will land in Rome at 12 noon Sunday. Thanks pumpkin!
Here is the prayer for the day:
TODAY, AUGUST 02, 2019
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, NIV
Father in heaven, we thank you that we may feel your leading, your lordship, for you have blessed us with every spiritual and heavenly gift in Christ. We thank you that we may be among those who receive true life always anew, who praise and glorify you, exulting even in difficult days. For it is just in the difficult days that we need to belong to those who are thankful and joyful, who always find new certainty in their lives. With them may we experience the good you give on earth so that humankind may be blessed and come at last into your hands. Amen.
