Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Monday afternoon? Mom was terrible last week with getting a chance to write to you and over the weekend was no exception. Friday night after dinner, Mark and I were getting ready to watch some tv and he sneezed. Nothing out of the ordinary, right. So we thought as well. Unfortunately that was not the case. He felt a bit later like he might have pulled a muscle. He was in a bit of pain but nothing he couldn’t handle. We went to bed and Saturday morning he woke up in more pain. We did get ready and went out and ran a couple errands. We came home and Mark was in more pain. We opted to have a down day and we binged watched one of our favorite shows. We went to bed at 10 pm. We didn’t sleep much. Mark was uncomfortable. Sunday morning was a whole different story... Mark was in severe pain. Mom had to make the decision to take him to the ER. We left at 9:30 am and we got home around 5 pm. It was a very long day. I think Mom made the right choice though. He was diagnosed with severe muscle spasms in his lower back. It basically is the same diagnosis as his neck injury just in a different area. Mom couldn’t believe it. They did blood work and a CTScan again. The doctor told him that whatever he was doing daily it needed to be changed up. He said this is a muscular issue and this injury happened exactly 3 months to the day of his last one. He is out of work for a few days. He is on Valium for pain and is sleeping a lot which is what his body needs. It’s like Mom rewound back to 3 months ago and here we are. There will be doctors appointments galore, PT and now add’l OT. Mom will be taking care of him daily so all my things that need to get done will have to take a back seat agin. I don’t care though. He needs to get better as we have a move coming up in 7 weeks. Mom will be the one that needs to do all the packing now as well. Mark is not able to any of it. I will pace myself though and when Mark is sleeping or resting, I will take advantage of the time and pack a little each day. I promised not to stress myself out. Please be with Mom though. I need you my sweet precious son. Thank you.
Everyone is well. I am keeping everyone updated on Mark so we are chatting at least a couple times a day. Aunt Beck made it home Saturday evening. Her plane landed in Boston at 8 pm. I was happy to hear that. I will touch base with her later this week. Tomorrow is a doctors appointment for a follow up with Mark’s PCP in the afternoon and then a PT consult. We will see what else is in store for him after tomorrow. The upcoming days will be relaxing and making sure Mark is comfortable. I will keep you posted with things. I will write when Mark is sleeping and in between packing. Mom will do the best she can.
I will light your candle in a bit 🕯 It is getting dark so I am assuming we are going to get a good thunderstorm in a bit. Mark just woke up. The pups will be needing to get fed in a bit and I will have to cook dinner soon too. Have fun tonight while Mom is trying to sleep. Come visit me in my dreams tonight if you can. I miss you so much and I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you will live inside my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom needs to get the night stuff going. I will be back tomorrow. Until then.... good night and sweet dreams later this evening.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah 🖤
