Dear Tyler,

Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Monday evening? Happy New Year in heaven. It is officially 2018! What a cold day it was as well. The sun was out but boy was it so cold! Last night on New Years Eve was fun for us. We had friends over. We ate, watched the ball drop, toasted in the New Year & was in bed by 1 am! We were up early this morning because of the pups but that is okay. We will be going to bed early tonight to get some rest as the mini vacation is over & it is back to work for Mark & studying for Mom as well. Tonight, the moon is so bright & big. We ring in the new year with a super moon! It is beautiful. It sure made Mom smile! I can only imagine what it looks like to you. It must be pretty dang amazing! 
 Mom was able to chat with Meme today & wish her a Happy New Year. She was telling me that Bob's friend, their neighbor was rushed to the hospital yesterday. He had a heart attack & had to have 3 stints put in & also there is something wrong with the major arteries in his heart, He will be in the hospital for a few days & now he has the flu on top of it. Bob is really taken it hard. I sure hope that Roland is doing well & he gets to come home soon. On facebook, Mom is friends with a lady named Joi. She adopted a sweet little dog that needed a home due to her previous owners abusing this 2 lb baby girl. She is the cutest little thing. She has been having some problems with one of her tiny little legs for the past 2 years & it has come down to where she has to have her leg amputated on Wednesday. I sure hope she does well through the surgery & that by having this done she will get some quality of life back. It breaks Mom's heart to see this. Another friend of Moms... her son is getting worse I am afraid. He is the one I have spoken about to you on here. The one who has cancer, had the knee replacement then ended up having it amputated & they thought the nightmare was over but they found out that the cancer spread to his lungs. The doctors gave him a few months & that was almost 4 months ago. Her Mom was saying that things are really starting to go " downhill " now. My heart breaks for her as well. She is starting to shut down & shut everyone out of her life. That is not good & Mom is worried. I have tried to reach out to her several times but nothing in return. I will be there for her but I will not push her. She knows & that is all that matters. her son, Eli is such a great boy. Another one that doesn't deserve what is happening to him. I sure hope that you will be there when it is his time to cross over. Help him through the transition, please. Thank you my sweet precious son. So many things are starting off on the wrong foot & it is only day 1 of 2018. mom sure is praying for all. I am hoping that the new year will bring a new beginning for everyone. May all be happy & healthy. That is Mom's wish for Mark, myself, our family, friends & even people that I do not even know. Mom will be calling Grandpa in a few minutes to say hello so I will update you on that tomorrow. I will touch base with Aunt Beck as well. No new news with Karen's mom as of right now either. Fingers are crossed for all. Mom is hoping that tonight you will have a peaceful evening doing all kinds of things that you may want to do or may need to do. Come visit me in my dreams or sit with me as I sleep tonight. Thank you. I love you more than all the stars in the sky. All the way around the world. To the moon & back. You are missed beyond anything that I can ever express to you. Forever you will live inside my heart, mind, body & soul. Tyler, you are my shining star, my hero & the wind beneath my wings. Nothing will ever change that. 
 Here is the prayers for the day:
 New Year Prayer: Thank you Lord for giving me the brand new year ahead. Help me live the way I should as each new day I tread. Give me gentle wisdom that I might help a friend, give me strength & courage so a shoulder I can lend. The year ahead is empty, help me fill it with good things. Each new day filled with joy & happiness it brings. Amen. 
 May God give you glimpses of the new beginnings He has for you. May you stay in step with Him and trust Him wholeheartedly in the meantime. May you embrace a contented and joyful heart in the place He has you now. May you faithfully steward your current assignment, as you trust Him to prepare you for your next place of promise. May you see all of the blessings that are yours because you belong to Him. God is with you and He cannot, will not fail you. Sing for joy today and trust Him fully with your tomorrows.

 Mom is going to sign off here for the night & go call Grandpa & then relax for a bit. Mom is also doing laundry & it is only 7:20 pm but it feels like it is midnight. I will be back with another letter to you tomorrow so until then.... good night  & sweet dreams.
