Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you on this Thursday afternoon? Mom is doing okay. It has been a very busy day for me for sure. Mom has to say " Holy Hannah Banana " that Storm Quinn was something else yesterday & last night. The winds were whipping from 11 am to about 2 am this morning & then they decided to calm down just a bit. The snow was really hard for Mom to guess the amount we got because it was so heavy & the wind was blowing the snow around. Mom is going to guess & say we got about 5" of snow. We were pretty lucky in that department because NH/ VT got so much more. They were coming in at 14-18" of snow & other parts of MA got 20-30" inches of snow or more. 800,000 customers are without power & the death toll with this storm has reached 9. This is so sad, Tyler. Mom is praying that everyone gets their power restored & quickly. I know that the electric crews are out there working so hard & fast to get this done. Mom prays for them too. The weather forecast is calling for another storm this Sunday night into Monday night & a potential huge storm on the 18th. I am not so concerned about the one coming up this weekend but I am scare at the one the following weekend as there are rumors that this one could be worse than the 2 we just got. I hope & pray that they both go out to sea & we don't get anymore storms this winter. Mom will keep you posted when I know of things.
Today has been super busy. Mom was up at 7:30 am, made a big breakfast for Mark & I, did the dishes, emailed a few friends, talked on the phone with Meme & the Aunt Beck & then I sat down & finished my exam & yes... I submitted it. I needed to. There wasn't anything else I was going to change & I need to just accept the grade I get & march forward. Tomorrow I will be reading the next chapter & then starting the next exam. After this one it will be my final in this course. Mom's goal is to have this completed by the next 2 weeks! The chat with Meme was nice. She stayed home from work today because of the storm. I was happy to hear that. Everything is okay on there end. Meme did tell me that Bob was having a rough day today. His equilibrium is off & he was having a tough time & also that the doctor didn't like the looks of her blood work tests. Meme has to go back in a couple weeks to get it redone. Mom is hoping that everything will be okay for them both. Aunt Beck & Mom had a great chat as well. It was nice to catch up with her. She was saying that in 2 weeks where she lives it went from no snow to 27". Yikes! Dang... she was also telling me that while she was shoveling the other day she heard you talk to her. She said that she should not be upset that she had to shovel because when you were here you would have done anything to be able to do that. You told her that she should be thankful to do all these things. That is some wise advice, Tyler. You definitely made her think & made Mom think as well. You are so right. We should be thankful for everything that we can do no matter if we want to do it or not, or if we feel it is an inconvenience or not. You were always wise beyond your years. So very smart even when you didn't think you were. Mom knew better. It was nice to hear that you are around us & near. Thank you so much for that. Thank you for your words of wisdom. Aunt Beck also said that Forrest will be coming for a visit in a couple weeks. She is going to have a session with him while he is there. I sure hope you come through for her. I don't know what day she will be having it but somehow I know you, Nana & Pepe among some others will be stopping in tho say hello. Mom can't wait to hear all about it. I didn't hear from Grandpa but I am sure he is tired from shoveling & snow blowing all last night & today. I am sure he will call either tonight or tomorrow. He also helps a couple of his neighbors out as well. He really is so thoughtful. He takes the time in the cold & snow & does this & asks for nothing in return. we are so fortunate to be in a loving family like we are. Mom will update you on our family when I get more info. Right now that is all I have!
The weather today was chilly. The sun peaked out for a few minutes & then went back in. It sure will be nice to see the sun as we haven't in almost 3 weeks now. Lots of cloudy skies, rain & snow. Mom is needing the sun, warmth & drier days ahead. It will do good for me. I get so depressed at times in this kind of weather. The sunny days motivate me & I get so much more done! The sun is setting as Mom is typing to you. The weather is clear. The snow has stopped & the wind is calm for the first time in over 24 hrs. The next couple of days it is suppose to be in the 40's so some of the snow will melt. That will be good. I can't believe that it is almost 5 pm & Mom has nothing prepped for dinner, pups are not feed yet either. I guess I better get going & get these things started. Mom hopes that you have a peaceful & restful night. May you get to do all kinds of things that you need to do & want to do. I will whisper to you later tonight & light that candle for you as well. Smile for Mom & I will smile back to you. I miss you so much & I love you to the moon & back & all the way around the world. Forever my hero & the wind beneath my wings. You will forever live in my heart, mind, body & soul. Mom will be back tomorrow with another letter to you so until then my sweet precious son....good night & sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is a saying for the day: Today, stay warm & toasty! Pretty accurate for the weather that we are having right now! Also, I hope that everyone is safe no matter if they are inside or outside.
Here are the prayers for the day as well: May you learn how to walk in the authority Christ has entrusted to you. May you speak PEACE to your soul and PERFECT LOVE to your fears. May you refuse discouragement simply because courage fits you better. May you walk with those who bring out the best in you. May you love those who cannot return the favor. May you return to your First Love, time and time again. Jesus is your Source, He’s your Strength, He’s your Fortress, and He’s Your King. You lack no good thing because you have Him. Walk like it’s true today.
Sometimes the well dries up before God fills it again. Sometimes the waters overwhelm us before they part before us. If you’re in over your head, out of options, and can’t see a way through, do not fret! Instead, remember what you know about God. He is good. He is faithful. And He’s the master of the miraculous breakthrough. Do not fixate on your problem, fix your eyes on the One who promised never to leave you or forsake you. This is a time for great faith. May faith arise! God bless you tonight!
