Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Thursday afternoon? The weather today was sunny & nice but now it is clouding up as we are suppose to get rain this evening with a little bit of wind. Tomorrow will be rain all day but it will be 70 degrees & then over the weekend we will see no sun... lots of clouds & rain. April sure is living up to "April showers bring May flowers" One good thing is that we have no snow anymore & we haven't for about 2 weeks now. That is a plus. Now we just need to have warmer days & lots of sunshine. Mom is looking forward to that indeed! Mom was out all day today. I left at 10:45 am & got home after 2:30 pm. The time went by so fast & it was crazy out there with so much traffic. Everyone has "cabin fever. " Mom went & had her nails done today. I chose a bright neon orange color. It is called "Sunkissed." It is my go to polish color for the summer. I also went & did a little fun shopping as well. I had a good time but I really wish that I had a friend to go with. It will be so much more fun. Anyways.... Mom got home, put things away, did a little cleaning & now I am writing to you. I have about 20 minutes before I need to start dinner but I wanted to write to you now as after I will be shutting everything down & just relax for the evening before I go to bed.
Last night, Mom was alone for a good part of the night as Mark had gone to his office all day & then got stuck in quite a bit of traffic so he got home very late. Mom had dinner for one & watched TV while cuddling with the pups! Mark got home, had dinner & then was on the phone for a bit. After he finished up, Mom got to chat with him for about 30 minutes & then he crashed as he was so tired. Been like that all this week. He has a long day tomorrow as well. Good thing it is Friday. Oh yeah... it is Friday the 13th. One of your favorite days that you used to prank Mom with. I remember them so well. You always knew how to surprise me & make Mom smile & laugh. I miss those times like crazy. I miss you so much my sweet precious son. I love you to the moon & back & all the way around the world. To infinity & beyond. You are my hero & the wind beneath my winds. Forever you will live in my heart, mind, body & soul.
Not too much for updates. Meme is good. Bob is good but completely obsessed with this computer thing he is doing. He has been needing Mark's help & calls like multiple times a day. I think it is great that he is keeping his mind busy but sometimes it is tough because mark is busy & tired & I think he feels obligated to help out so much that he stretches himself so thin. Not sure what to do about it but I am sure it will all work out. Grandpa is doing well & so is Debbie. Great Grammy is well too. Aunt Shirley is still holding her own & waiting for her next set of tests to be done. Mom prays every night for our family & friends. All of Mark's family is doing well too so that is good. A friend of mine that I have known since grade school posted a very sad thing this afternoon. Her mom has been quite ill for some time now but she was getting better as the days were going by but something happened & she has been taken off all her treatments & is just having comfort meds right now. She is not expected to make it through the night. Everyone called her Mama J. I sure hope she doesn't suffer & she makes her way to the heavens peacefully where she will no longer be in pain or ill anymore. She is awaiting to gain her Angel wings as Mom types this letter to you. When the time comes for her, I hope she will fly high & free with all you angels above. She will be missed greatly by many. Mom will keep you posted & share with you what happens on tomorrows letter. That is all I have for now. Mom will be sure to have more tomorrow afternoon for you.
Here is the saying for the day though: " Not every HERO wears a cape!" So true! No other words are necessary at all. It is pretty self explanatory. Seemed appropriate & fitting for today.
Mom hopes that your evening will be filled with all the things you need to do & may want to do as well tonight. Come be with Mom if you can. I would love to see you in my dreams tonight as well. Thank you for watching over Mom & all of us like you do. Please continue to as well. Thank you so much. Mom will whisper to you as I always do & I will light a candle tonight as well. Know it burns bright for you. smile when you hear Mom & I will smile back to you as well. Mom needs to get going so that I can prep dinner & then relax so that I can go to bed early tonight. My butt is studying all day long! I need that sleep to focus on it. I know you will be with me. There is never a doubt at all. I love you, Tyler. Until tomorrow.... good night & sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here are the prayers:
May Jesus give you a new appreciation for how far you’ve come: the insight you now possess, the strength you’ve gained, and the maturity you’ve gleaned, all because of your battles. You are still standing! May you be strengthened and encouraged with each step you take today. May you take a fresh and firm grip on God’s promises to you. May you refuse discouragement and the bait of offense—they’ll only drain you. Guard your steps in this “not-yet” season, renew your mind, and keep marching. Jesus will bring the victory at just the right time.
Maybe you’ve been in the winter season for far too long. You wonder if it’ll ever end. You wonder if springtime will happen for everybody but you. But here’s what’s true: Even now, there are little sprouts underground, coming to life, ready to break through. Those are your seeds that you planted and that God watered. You can’t see them but they’re there. In due time, the sun will shine, the cold will pass, and life will break through the hardened soil of this season. I know you’re tired but don’t give up hope. May Jesus wrap you up in His goodness tonight. May you sense His kindness and be assured of His promises. Spring is definitely coming for you. Blessings on your night tonight.
