Hi pumpkin! How are you doing on this Sunday afternoon? Mom is doing much better than yesterday...lol. I was so tired from traveling and being stuck in traffic that I was literally in bed at 8:30 pm last night and I was up at 7 am this morning. I got up 2 times during the night but fell right back to sleep. I was so in need of sleep and so was Mark. I guess he actually stayed up for awhile and then went to bed and Mom heard nothing! I got right up this morning, got ready, made Mark coffee and then headed out the door to my nail appointment at 10 am. After that we went and picked up some groceries and then headed back home. Mom made lunch and we started to watch a movie. After Mom ate I literally fell asleep for a quick cat nap. Guess my body is just drained. I woke up about 30 minutes later and I feel much better. I did a few things around the apartment, paid some bills and now I am writing to you. It is already 4 pm and Mom will be getting right off the computer after I write to you so that I can make dinner and then relax for the night. I think Mark and I will be watching another movie so we shall see if I am able to get through this one....lol. Tomorrow is back to school for me and work for Mark. We were basically gone for a whole week so we need to get back into the swing of things again. We will for sure.
The weather today is such a nice change. It is 69 degrees and windy. The sun peaks out every once in awhile but mostly it is cloudy. It is so nice to have the balcony door open and no AC or heat on. Mom is loving it so much. Guess it is going to be this way for most of the week. Happy girl right here. Nice to not see any rain that is for sure! The weatherman said that we have gotten over 3" inches of rain, more than last year. I believe it as it has rained so much this spring and summer. Anyways... you can feel that fall is in the air. Couple more weeks and it will be September.
Mom was telling you that Great Grammy's services were on Thursday and Friday. They were really nice. Met a lot of family I never have before and also saw many family members and friends of Mom's come together for support. That was really nice. Mark and Mom were so thankful for staying at Meme and Bob's. Like I said yesterday, it was way better than the hotel. Just wished we were not so rushed and that we slept better. Grandpa, Debbie and Aunt Shirley seem to be doing pretty good. They are holding up better than expected. I think it is because Great Grammy is no longer suffering and we all know that she is happy with you and everyone else in heaven. Make sure to tell her that I love her and miss her. Thank you my sweet precious son. Mom and Mark will be going to NH again for a few days in the middle of September. We will be there for Mark's birthday and also to give Grandpa the support that he needs while Debbie is having surgery. Mom will keep you updated on all that as I know of things. Mom will get in touch with Aunt Beck this week as well because it has been almost 2 weeks since we have spoken. Mom will fill you in on that at a later time as well. Think that is all I have for today for updates. Not much as the phones have been quiet and Mom really has been sleeping a lot too.
I will light the candle for you and Great Grammy in a little bit. I will whisper to you later this evening as well so smile when you hear Mom and I will smile back to you. I love you with all my heart. To the moon and back and all the way around the world. I miss you more than words can say. You will forever be my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Always in my heart, mind, body and soul. That is where you will stay. Thank you for being my bright shining star that lights the path for Mom day and night. It sure means a lot to me. Continue to watch over us all like I know you do and keep sending those signs. I love them all! Mom hopes that your evening will be filled with all the things you need to do and want to do. I know you are busy but I hope you get to have some fun tonight as well. Come visit Mom in my dreams if you can. I will be back tomorrow with another letter. For now I have to get the night stuff going. Until next time.... good night and sweet dreams, Tyler!
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the prayer for the day:
Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25–26, NIV
Dear God and our Father, if only we have you, we desire nothing more in heaven or on earth. Body and soul may fail, but you, O God, are the strength and comfort of our hearts and you are ours forever. May we live in your Spirit and may your light shine over us. Touch our hearts and help us understand the greatness of what you call us to. Help us and free us again and again so that we are not bound by fear, even when we must pass through intense suffering. For your hand shall be with us and shall rescue us. Your hand shall bring about good for us and for all the people around us. Our hearts go out to them and we plead for them too, "Lord, send your Savior to all." Amen.
