Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Saturday afternoon? Mom is sorry that I didn’t get the chance to write to you yesterday but the last 3 days have been crazy as you can imagine. Mar and Mom just got home about 90 minutes ago. What a drive home this time. When we left it started out by raining so heavy we could not see at all. That lasted half the trip and the last half it was sunny and 88 degrees. We made it the last 5.5 miles to our apartment and we got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. It took us 70 minutes to get home from there so total travel time was over 4 hours. To say the least Mark and Mom are extremely tired and we will definitely be having an early night tonight. Mom is writing to you on her cell phone because I am not going to turn by computer on at all today but I wanted to write to you quickly.
The last few days have been difficult but we have all managed to get through it. Yesterday we laid great Grammy to rest. It was the same day that we lost Nana 24 years ago. The wake, funeral and gathering went really well. Lots of people came and Mom met more of our family that I have never met before. That was really nice. We stayed at Meme and Bob’s this time. It was crazy but we were very grateful. Much better than that hotel that is for sure. It was nice very to spend extra time with everyone. Mom will write more about all this on your letter tomorrow.
The updates that I have for you are few but they are: Aunt Beck messaged me while we were gone and said that Bean’s ultrasound came back great. Nothing else so she needs to follow her doctors orders and take her medicine. That is excellent news. Debbie went to the doctors while we were there and she said that she has to have surgery. It is major surgery so she will be out of work for 6 weeks or more. She is having that done on Mark’s Birthday so we will be headed up there again to emotionally help Grandpa out. We will be with him through the whole thing so that he is not alone. Everything else and everyone else is okay. That is what I have for now. Mom is doing laundry and dusted and vacuumed when we got back so I don’t have to do anything tomorrow. I can sleep in for a couple hours and then I have a nail appointment to go to in the morning. Sunday will be a day of rest as the next day is Monday and that means it is back to school for Mom and work for Mark. I will write you a longer letter tomorrow and will include the prayer and pictures too. Thank you for watching over us all these last few days and also when we were driving back today. Mom loves you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. I miss you like crazy too. You will always be the wind beneath my wings and the bright shining star that lights my path day and night. Forever you are in my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom hopes that tonight you will have a wonderful evening doing all the things you want to do and need to do. Have fun while Mom gets some much needed rest. I will light the candle for you and great Grammy. I will whisper to you as well later so be listening for my voice. Smile for me and I will smile back. Fly high and free with great Grammy now. Until tomorrow comes.... good night and sweet dreams my sweet precious son.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
