Hi pumpkin! How are you doing on this 10th day of the new year? It is Thursday late afternoon and Mom has just gotten done with studying. The sun is setting and the night sky will be appearing in about 30 minutes or less. Today was super cold and crazy. At times it was sunny and blue skies and other times it was gray and cloudy and then at one point it was snowing like crazy. Mom is doing alright today. I was able to get a lot of good sleep last night and it was so needed. Mom didn't feel all that great last night so I didn't even eat dinner. First meal I ate was around noon time today. I am feeling better though. I am writing to you while dinner is cooking in the oven. Mark has been gone all day and will have a late night so Mom is cooking a ham and putting into a salad...like a chef salad. It will be so yummy! Mark will eat when he gets home later tonight. Mom studied all day long. I was able to go over my exam 4 and submitted it. I got a 92 on it. I was happy with that. I got 3 wrong out of 40. Not too shabby. I was checking to see how my grades were and Mom was surprised because I have completed 20 courses and 18 of them have been A's and only 2 are B's. My GPA right now is a 94.2. I am working on my next final exam and will have it completed by tomorrow and then I will have only 3 courses left and I am done! Mom is hoping to be finished by the end of the month so that I can work on my CEU's for my CMRS. That expires in March so I have to get going on that before it times out. I will do it! Next will be taking the certificate course for wedding/event planning that I need to go into the field that I want to. That will be another 6 months and then Mom will be completely finished with everything and then it will be time to go out into the real world! I am excited to see what I can do. No matter what I know that you will be with Mom every step of the way and I am so thankful for that my sweet precious son. Mom will keep you posted to what is going on.
Today Auntie Donna called me. It was such a nice surprise to hear from her. We talked for almost 90 minutes. It has been awhile so we had a lot of catching up to do. She has been sick the last several weeks but is doing much better these days. The doctors want her to go through a series of tests to see what is going on and she is having a hard time with it. Nan..her Step Mom is in the hospital right now. She is really sick too. Mom is saying a lot of prayers for everyone and I know you are watching over them as well just like you are Mom. Thank you. Grandpa called last night and mark chatted with him while I was writing you your letter and then I chatted with him after that. Things are good there. Meme called last night too. Things are okay with her and Bob. They got about 6" of snow yesterday and they both were saying that more is coming their way along with some pretty cold temps. we will be getting the cold temps but not as bad and we will get some snow but not like they will be getting. It really blows my mind that tomorrow is already the 11th day of the new year. It feels like it just was new years eve. I think this year will fly by even faster than 2018 did. Mom will try to touch base with Aunt Beck tomorrow. It is difficult to get her because she is always busy or has company over or they are going somewhere. They are just busy busy busy these days!
The sun is almost set and the sky is a pastel blue with a little pink in it. It really is pretty. It is making Mom smile so thank you. I miss you so much. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You really have and always will be my superhero and the wind beneath my wings. You will forever be inside my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom hopes that you have a fun evening doing all kinds of things that are needed of you and things that you may want to do. If you can please sit with me while I sleep or visit me in my dreams. Mom would love it. I have had 2 candles burning all day for you. One in the living room and the other in my office. I will whisper to you later again this evening so smile for me and I will smile for you. Please watch over Mark as he is driving home late tonight and watch over Mom and the pups. Thank you. It's time for Mom to finish the prep with dinner and also feed the pups. I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you so until then....good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the pray for the day:
Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD's hand double for all her sins. Isaiah 40:1-2, NIV
Lord our God, how great is your love, and how great is your help! May each one of us feel sheltered in your hand, knowing that our faults and shortcomings no longer matter. We can go straight toward the goal you have set, for you will help us through the forgiveness of sins and through all the good you can put into our hearts. And so we ask you to be with us. May we be faithful, believing firmly in your great mercy, so that your name may be glorified among us. May each heart be given the comfort of knowing that everything will yet turn to the good, to the glory of your name. Amen.
