Dear Tyler,

Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Sunday afternoon? Mom has been up since the crack of dawn and has been busy all day long. I got a really good nights sleep last night for the first time in over a week. It felt great. I was wide-eyed and bushy tail at 8 am. I lounged in bed for a short bit while Mark was watching TV and then I was up and in the shower at 9 am and completely ready by 10 am. I had the vacuuming done, garbage done and was waiting on Mark for a change...lol. We left here around 10:45 am to go run our errands and we got back at about 3 pm. We went to the mall and then to Walmart. What a zoo there! It was crazy. Mom typically does the Walmart shopping on line but lately I have had some issues so I decided against it. After today I will go back to shopping online...lol. After we got home I put everything away and then I called Meme and Grandpa.  Mark was asking Mom what I wanted for my Birthday this year and I had said that I didn't need any jewelry or anything and what I really wanted was for Meme, Bob, Grandpa and Debbie to come here for 3 days and go to Foxwoods for the day. Foxwoods is a Casino and there is shopping, etc... there as well. I just thought it would be a fun thing to do. Go there for the day, have fun, have some lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and then drive back home. I called everyone to see if they could do it and they are all in! It is set for us the weekend of Mom's Birthday. I am so excited and happy to be doing this with everyone. I wish that you could be there with us but somehow Mom knows that you will be in your very own way. I think you will help me on the slot machines...maybe Mom can even win some money for her Birthday!!!!
On a sadder note....our cousin posted this morning to let us know of an update on her daughter. (Mom is keeping names private but you know who I am talking about!) She has had 5 blood transfusions in 2 days and tomorrow will be another busy day of tests being run to include a bone marrow biopsy and a spinal tap biopsy. My heart breaks for them all. She is so sad that she was told today that she would loose all her hair. I told her that it would grow back and to be proud and know that Bad is Beautiful!  Mom is saying prayers and so many others are as well for the whole family. Anything that you can do from where you are is gladly appreciated my sweet precious son. Thank you so much! Mom doesn't have any other updates for you today. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood today despite the weather..... yup...you guessed it...rain again and the temp is only 42 degrees. This is 4 weeks straight with nothing but rain and absolutely no sun. Mom is thinking that I forgot what the sun looked like! On a good note the grass is super green and it really is pretty. Many of the trees have buds on them and leaves and flowers too. spring has definitely sprung!
Mom just got done feeding the pups their dinner and ours will be done in about 10 minutes. I hope that you have a wonderful evening tonight doing all the things you need to do and want to do. Please continue to watch over us all like I know you do but Mom always likes to ask you. Thank you pumpkin. Have fun while I get some sleep tonight. Come visit me in my dreams or sit by me so I can get some sleep tonight. I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you so until then....good night and sweet dreams. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you live inside my heart, mind, body and soul. I miss you so much Tyler.
 Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!

Here is the prayer for the day:

I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan, but now I have become two camps. Genesis 32:10, NIV
Lord our God, we are not worthy of all the mercy and faithfulness you show to us. We thank you for your love and ask you to keep our hearts united in the hope we have together for all things. Keep our hearts united, that again and again we can receive something new from your mighty hand. Keep us true to the calling you have given us. Let light shine out into the world, right into the dark places. Remember those all over the world who are sighing to you, longing that in your great and wonderful goodness light may come to the peoples and to the nations through some deed from your hand. Amen.
