Dear Tyler,

Hi my sweet son! How are you on this Sunday afternoon? Mom is doing well but I am just so tired from this weekend and having all the family here. We had a really good time with Meme, Bob, Grandpa and Debbie. There was lots of laughs and a lot of fun. They finally arrived around 12 noon after the whole tire incident. We relaxed for a little bit and then we headed out around 1:30 pm and we did a little shopping. We got back around 4:30 pm and Mom started to get our BBQ going so that we could eat. After that we relaxed for the evening and just visited. We were all in bed at 9:30 pm. It was a full day for us for sure. This morning we were all up between 6-8 am. We got ready and we headed out for Father's Day lunch. Grandpa, Mark and Bob chose the place and we had a nice time. We were by the ocean and we sat outside with the warm sun and breeze. It was simply wonderful. It started to get crowded so we left and walked a ways along the water to the vehicles and then headed out for some ice cream. We were there for a bit and then came back home. We tinkered around doing a few things, visited for a little bit and then they got on the road to drive back home around 3 pm. It is always sad to see them leave but they will be back in 2 weeks for 4 1/2 days. Mark and I are trying to figure out what to do those days. We have a little time so we are not worried at all. Grandpa just called and said they made it home safely so Mom was happy. They said the traffic was not bad at all which was great. Mom was very happy about that because we were worried. I know you were with them and watching over them as well. Thank you so much my sweet precious son. Meme should be calling shortly to say that they are home as well.
Today is Father's Day and Mom will never forget and neither will your Dad on this day back in 1994. You were at DHMC and it had been a couple weeks of you getting sick. You had been in a coma and today of all days you woke up. You looked at your Dad and said "Happy Father's Day, Daddy". Boy there was not a dry eye in that PICU at all. I think about that every Father's Day. It is just a memory that will never leave my mind. Mark was so sweet this morning. I wished him a Happy Father's Day and then he said to Mom, Happy Father's Day to you as well. I looked at him kinda funny and he said " I know a lot of the times you were Mom, Dad and nurse to Tyler." Yup... Mom teared up. I miss you so much. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you are in my heart, mind, body and soul.
This week is going to be tough for Mom. Please be with me. Send me some signs along the way if you can. Thank you. Mom will whisper to you later this evening so smile when you hear me and Mom will smile back. I will write to you again tomorrow afternoon. Mom has to get ready and set her computer up for our skype call in about 15 minutes so I have to get going for the night. Mom hopes you night is everything you need it to be. Have fun while I sleep and come visit in my dreams tonight if you can. Until next time.....good night and sweet dreams my bright shining star.
 Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!

Here is the prayer for the day:

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1:15, NIV
Lord our God, we come into your presence and bow down before you, the Almighty. We come before you and repent, believing in you and in your will to save us. Your will to save goes out over the whole world, over the whole godless world, that all may repent and be redeemed. Grant us the thoughts of your heart so that we may begin to understand your will. We dedicate ourselves to you, the holy, just, righteous, and merciful God. Grant that we may be your children, led and guided by you every day. Turn our hearts to you so that you can make us more and more as you want us to be. Turn our hearts to you until your goal of atonement and redemption is reached through the quiet working of your almighty power. Amen.
