Dear Tyler,

Hi pumpkin! How are you doing on this Friday evening? Mom just got done her studies for the day. Learning new things daily with this course that I am taking but I am having so much fun with it. So much more than the last one. Anyways....today is such a sad sad day for our nation as it is the day that the terrorists attacked our country. The 2 planes crashing & hitting the twin towers in NYC...so many lives lost, both civilian & first response plus service animals. These folks are true heros as well, as everyone was running away from the wreckage, they were running into it to help save as many lives as possible. Mom remembers where I was when it all happened, I remember coming home from work & calling you on the phone. I wanted to hear your voice. I wished that you had lived with Mom at that time but you didn't come home for another 1 1/2 years. I think we all watched it on the tv for the entire night, watching all the footage of the days event. The stories got harder to watch as the time passed. I remember several stories from family members but 1 sticks out in my mind....it was 2 best friends that worked in the 2nd tower on nearly the top floor. Elevators didn't work as it had already been struck by the 2nd plane.... 1 of the friends had the chance to get out & save their life but chose not to because his best friend was in a wheelchair & couldn't leave the room or floor that they were on. He called his family, told them he loved them all & said that he wouldn't be home, that he was standing by his friend through it all, he wasn't going to leave him alone to die & so he did just that & the 2 best friends died together. Mom cried when I heard that story. Oh how it hit me hard. Heros are what they all are, you being my #1 hero! I miss you so much my sweet precious son. I love you beyond words. Too the moon & back & all the way around the world.
Here is the prayer for today. September 11~ And the King shall answer & say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Thank God for firefighters, for paramedics, for Red Cross teams, for police, for the National Guard, for search & rescue teams-----for all who risk their lives for us, who step forward when we're hurting, who are there when we need them most. Amen.
Such a fitting prayer for today. The evening sky is upon us now, the sunset was beautiful tonight. Mom was surprised as it was raining all day long & chilly. I am not sure if I will see the moon & stars out but I know that it doesn't matter as Mom will whisper to you as I always do. Hope you will be listening out for my voice tonight. May you night be all that you need & want it to be Ty. If you get a chance to slow down a bit, take a break & rest your eyes. If you do, Mom wishes you the sweetest of dreams & hopes that I will see you in my own tonight when I fall asleep. Tell everyone up there in the heavens above with you that I miss them & love them too. Extra hugs & kisses to Max & Snickers & all the rest of our pups that are now with you. Miss you all & love each of you so much.
You are forever in my heart, mind & soul. Oh yeah... no updates tonight. Grandpa & Debbie are coming down tomorrow so please watch over them so they get here safely & return home safely, thank you. Continue to watch over us all. Means a lot to Mom. Thank you so much. Lastly, your Patriots won their game last night! Opening game of the season right here in Massachusetts....not too shabby. I know you are smiling at that & saying.."Yeah! "
Love you! Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
