Hi pumpkin! How are you doing on this Wednesday afternoon? M om and Mark are back home now after being in NH for 2 days. It was so nice to be there to see family and spend time with them. We had a good Christmas despite not having you and Great Grammy with us this year. Mark and Mom got to spend time with Meme, Bob, Grandpa, Debbie, Aunt Shirley and Richard. We all had a nice time visiting with each other but boy we are so exhausted. We got some sleep while we were staying at Meme's but not much. The bed is small for us. We have a king size and that one is a full size...lol. We were happy to not be in a hotel so we are not complaining at all. Grandpa and Debbie came over to Meme's around 1 pm yesterday and stayed until 7 pm. We exchanged gifts, had lots of yummy food and we played poker. Bob won at the end but Grandpa came in 2nd. Mom was out first and the Meme and Debbie. It is always a fun time. Mom is sorry that the letter was not a long one last night but it was hard to do on my iPad this time. I did the best that I could though. I know you saw Mom so I don't need to explain anything. We had the chance to chat with Aunt Beck and also Jeff from Tennessee. We didn't get to chat with Bean but Mom will be calling her because not only is tomorrow Mom and Mark's Anniversary it is Bean's Birthday. Make sure to send her a sign to say hello from you. She will love it. Not much else is going on. Our drive back home was a pretty good one. No real traffic until we got 4 exits from our place. We stopped at the rest stop for a few minutes and we had a bit of mess. Mom opened up the trunk of the vehicle and the way that it had been packed, Mark's bag and Mom's luggage fell to the ground and it broke a bottle of alcohol that Mark got for Christmas all inside his bag and all over his clothes, etc.... to say the least that was a mess cleaning it up. Mom was able to salvage some of his clothes but not all because of all the small shards of glass. I felt bad but it was an accident. I replaced the bottle that broke though so hopefully he is not too upset = [
Tonight will be a restful evening for us. We will have dinner, watch some tv and then bed. Mark has to be up early tomorrow to head to that customer site. Please watch over him for Mom. Make sure he arrives there safely and returns home safely as well. Watch over Mom and the pups too. Thank you my sweet precious son. It means a lot to Mom. I am sure to have some updates for you in the next couple of days though but for now I have nothing. Every one is good though and happy. I think we are all looking forward to a new year, a fresh start in 5 days. Mom is going to try and keep some resolutions this year. I will not go overboard with them but I will make a couple. The standard... more exercise and healthier eating but also some personal goals too. I would like to be finished up with all schooling by Spring so that I can look for a job and start making some money and help out financially. We will be looking into homes again as well so that will be exciting plus planning a couple trips too. Mom will be doing a lot of soul searching. I had an eye opener when I was in NH yesterday and the day before. These things hurt but I will get through it and this to shall pass. Mom will work through it and I will move on. Mom will keep you posted on that and talk to you more about it tomorrow. Right now my energy level is low. It is 4:45 pm and the pups want to eat and I have to cook dinner and all I want to do is crawl in bed and go to sleep...lol. It will be a very early night! Hope your evening is all that you need and want it to be. Come sit beside me or visit with me in my dreams if you can tonight. Mom will be back tomorrow with another letter to you. I will light the candle and whisper to you as well so smile for me and I will smile to you. I miss you and I love you more than words. To the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you are in my heart, mind, body and soul. Until tomorrow comes.... good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the prayer for the day:
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. John 3:16, TEV
Lord our God, our light and our life, in our longing to live by your Word we lift our eyes to you. Let your Word come into our hearts. Let your Word help us to understand our lives and our time, so that we can recognize your leading in everything and gather courage every day in spite of our weakness, sins, and faults. We can still find joy, for your kingdom is coming. We can feel that you are among us, however great the anguish of these times. Let the light of Jesus Christ shine out; let your Spirit of peace and grace come to all nations so that your will may be done. Free people from all their confusion. Release them from their bondage. Make them free for what is good, true, and eternal. May your name be praised among us today and forevermore. Amen.
