Dear Tyler,
Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Monday evening? Mom is doing alright. I am still a little tired as everything is still catching up with me but for the most part I will be just fine. Mom will just go to bed early again tonight & should be back to normal by tomorrow.
Today is a very sad day here as this morning the whole world woke up to the news of a mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada at a country concert late last night. A 64 year old man enter his hotel room on the 32nd floor & opened fire on this Country Festival that was going on. It has been all over the TV all day today. The numbers are stating that 58 are dead & over 500 are seriously injured at this time with over 12 people in critical condition. The pictures are horrific that are being shown. Folks that were in wheelchairs are sideways because of being pushed out of the way, some tried to get out of their wheelchairs & crawl to safety if they could. The sounds that we hear sound like fireworks going off at the end of a show or during the 4th of July. That is really what everyone thought the sounds were until blood was shed & people being killed right in front of them. Mom is so sadden for all that are victims of this.... the ones who have lost their lives, the families that have to grieve this & all who are injured. My thoughts & prayers are with everyone during this very difficult time. Mom will be lighting a candle tonight in honor of everyone.
Mark's middle brother, Gary & his fiance, Sarah have been living in Las Vegas for the last 7 weeks for his work. They left Saturday morning to drive to Arizona for his next assignment. We were very happy to hear this. They will be returning to Las Vegas in 6 weeks though. That is where they live when they are not traveling for his job. Mom is beginning to think that no where is safe to be living at....whether it is the city, in the country, another Continent, etc.... I am not sure what is going on in this world today but so many innocent people are losing their lives & many more suffering injuries. I am thinking that instead of everything getting better it is going to be getting worse. So many agree with Mom & that is heartbreaking. Mom wonders if you know what will happen before it actually does? I wonder if you do, how scary that must be. I know you are watching over us all the time, every day & making sure we are safe. Thank you so much my sweet precious son. Mom loves you to the moon & back & all the way around the world.
Mom has very little updates for you but what I do have is that Grandpa & Debbie are enjoying their honeymoon. They called Mom & Mark last night to let us know they got checked in alright. They called today to let me know they changed the times that I had set for them for their carriage ride this evening. They hoped I was not going to be upset. They also wanted to stay an extra day/night but the hotel said they were completely booked for the week & they couldn't. Mom got right on the phone & called & got them their extra night. Not sure how that happened because they couldn't but if you were a part of that, thank you, Tyler. Grandpa & Debbie both appreciate it very much! I spoke to Aunt Shirley today. She called Mom. That was nice to hear from her. We are going to chat once a week & keep in touch better. Grammy is well. I will post a picture of Grandpa, Debbie & Grammy on tonight's letter from the wedding. I think you will enjoy it. Mom will post pictures of the decorations that I did around the apartment yesterday on here as well for you. Hope they make you smile! Everyone else is doing well. We are all recovering from our travels the last few days. We are all trying to get back into the swing of things yet again & back to our normal routines. Mom will try to touch base with others this week as well. I will keep you updated.
It is already 5:25 pm & Mom is running behind. Pups are fed but our dinner is not done. Mom wanted to write to you real quick to let you know that I think of you always & I miss you so much. You are my hero & the wind beneath my wings. You are living inside my heart, mind, body & soul forever. I hope that your evening is all that you need & want it to be. I know you will be busy helping & comforting many because of the event that has taken place. If you get the chance come by & visit with Mom as well while I sleep tonight. Thank you. Mom will whisper to you later as well. Listen for my voice & smile. I will smile back. Before I go, here are the prayers for the day: May God prosper you in every way so you can flourish beyond your wildest dreams. May you earnestly cooperate with Him by following His lead and by making the changes He asks of you. And as a result, may you be emotionally strong and stable, spiritually deep and thriving, financially free and generous, socially blessed and a blessing, and physically fit and healthy. May God fill in every gap, heal every wound, and restore everything stolen. May you live abundantly in every way. And may you sleep especially well tonight. You're a child of the Most High God!
May you sense God's invitation to believe Him for something more, something greater, something deeper. He's always on the move and He invites you to move with Him. As He shows you areas of your life where you struggle with unbelief, may you refuse despair, and instead respond in prayer: "Lord, awaken fresh faith in me!" He holds out His hand and bids you to walk on the water with Him, to trust Him for what breaks your heart, and to believe that some of those dreams in your heart were put there by Him. Look up and trust Him today. He is faithful to His Word and He's made specific promise to you. Have a blessed and beautiful day today!
Mom doesn't have a inspirational saying set for the day but I will tomorrow. What I can say is I hope that every person hugs their loved ones tight & as much as they can. May everyone tell one another that they love them because one never knows. Life is fragile, life is short. Do & say these things while you still have the chance.
Mom needs to get going now but I will be back tomorrow night with another letter to you. Until then, Good night & sweet dreams. I love you my shining star!
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
