Hi my sweet son! Good morning to you on this Saturday. Mom has been up since 6 am and I have got a lot done so far while waiting the arrival of Grandpa and Debbie. They should be here within the next 20 minutes or so. Mom has a few minutes to write to you so I wanted to get that in as I know I won't be on later today at all. Mom is pretty bummed that Meme and Bob are not coming down but I know she said that she was pretty tired last night when we spoke. Hopefully I will get the chance to go see them up there before the holidays come and the snow starts flying. Mom is glad that we live closer but I wish we didn't live so far into the city or I would make the drive myself more often but I hate driving in the city traffic especially in the tunnel. Mark and Mom have been talking about what we want to do in the next few months... are we staying here or leaving? That seems to be the question that is on our minds a lot. Some days we say stay and other days we say it is time to move on. We will have to pin it down soon though as next month we will have to make that tough decision.
Today is a day that will be all about Grandpa as tomorrow is his special day... yup it is his Birthday! We didn't plan on anything to do this weekend because we wanted him to choose what he wants to do. I know tomorrow we will be going to his favorite place to eat when they come down here...the Clam Box. Mark and Mom are going to get an ice cream cake as well as we know that he loves them so much. Tonight we will probably play poker for a bit. I think he wants to go shopping and walking around the mall but not sure. we already sent him his birthday gift which was a DeWalt round sander that he wanted. It is pretty nice and it came with a case. He got it yesterday and he said he really likes it so we are very happy with our choice. Mom will fill you in tomorrow evening on what we did on your letter!
Last night was a pretty quiet night. Grandpa called real quick and Mark and Mom watched TV and then went to bed. Pretty simple. There were no fireworks but Princess still did her shaking. She really hates the night time now. I think Mom fell asleep while she was shaking though. I was pretty tired but I seem to have got some decent sleep last night as I am doing pretty good today! Mom has taken the garbage out and Mark took it to the dumpster, I made banana nut muffins, got ready and then painted my toe nails and now writing to you. Everything I wanted to do is complete! Mom has the candle burning for you already. I whispered to you so I hope you heard me. I will whisper to you again later tonight too so smile for me and I will smile back to you. I hope that your day and evening will be everything that you need and want it to be. I hope you have fun and later tonight come visit Mom in my dreams if you can. I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you. I miss you so much my sweet precious son. I love you beyond the moon and the stars. To infinity and back and then some. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you are in my heart, mind, body and soul. Have a good day and give big hugs and kisses to everyone up there for Mom. You all are missed so much. Until tomorrow comes.... good night and sweet dreams later tonight.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the prayer for the day:
Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion? Then I thought, "To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds." Psalm 77:9–12, NIV
Lord God, our Father in heaven, we turn to you in these times when we are under so much stress and temptation. Let your light glow in our hearts to give us firmness, patience, and perseverance throughout the time of testing, no matter how long it lasts. Your hand can change everything. Your hand can shorten the time we must wait until your light shines out of the darkness of death and evil, until your light reveals your life to your children and to the whole world. You are our God and Father as you have promised, and remaining at your side, we look to you in faith and trust. You will bring about goodness, justice, and mercy as you have promised, and so fulfill your will. Amen.
