Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Sunday afternoon? Mom is doing okay. For some reason I am just really out of it today. I think I slept okay last night but not really sure now..lol. Mom is sorry that I did not write to you last night but yesterday Mom honestly took a day off from the computer and just enjoyed the day with Mark. We went out yesterday and didn't get back until 4 pm. Mom put everything away and then we had dinner and then groceries came and I put them away. Finally around 7 pm I sat down to relax and both Grandpa and Meme called. After all that Mom decided to go to bed around 10:30 pm and guess what... yup the fireworks started and lasted about 5 minutes or so but Princess shook for about 2 hours. Mom fell asleep around 11:30 pm and then I was up at 7 am. I got up a few times last night and Mom had the weirdest dreams ever. Today has been busy but not as busy as yesterday. Mom did the garbage, prepped dinner for tonight (we are having one of your favorites... Mom's homemade beef stew), did those dishes and then needed to get ready. I had a nail appointment at 11:30 am. we just got back about an hour ago. The stew is smelling amazing. Took the pups for a walk as well. They are both tuckered out and sleeping next to Mark while he is playing a video game. Tonight will be all about having dinner, doing the dishes, skyping with Tubal and Karen and then watching football. The Cowboys are playing the late game tonight. Patriots are playing the afternoon game. That starts in about 90 minutes.
Mom has a few updates for you so here they are.... Debbie went to the doctors on Thursday. Everything is all set and ready for her surgery on Tuesday. It will start at 8 am and she will be under for about 4 hours and then 2 hours in recovery. She will have to spend the night in the hospital but can go home Wednesday. They were telling her that she will be very uncomfortable for a few days but she will have some good pain killers to help her with that and to sleep. Grandpa will be right there and Mom will be right by the phone. Meme is doing okay. She is back to knitting a lot. She is making these really cool baskets. I can't wait to see the outcome of them. Bob is doing okay part of the time and then not. Yesterday was an okay day for him. His blood pressure is worrying me though. It was 170/110 yesterday and that is such a dangerous level. Guess he is really breathing heavy and sleeps a lot as well again. I know you are watching over them all and Mom thanks you for that. Aunt Beck is camping in Maine and will be back in the middle of the week. We will touch base then. Aunt Shirley is doing the best she can still. Tries to stay busy. I will touch base with her maybe tomorrow while Mark is gone all day and before I start studying. The fires are all gone here but many are without everything. The hurricane is still going strong down south and again so many have lost everything and are without power. Mom is praying for each of them. My heart is with them all. Lastly, heaven gained 2 more beautiful Angels on Wednesday and Thursday. Helen Hodgdon (Grammy's friend for many years. You knew her as well. You always like Helen and Mom did too.) and also Yvette Bowles (Danny's Mom). I remember many fond memories of Yvette. She and Robert came to your services. These ladies will be missed dearly. May they both R. I. P. for eternal life now. That is all that I have for today. I am sure there will be much more during the week. Mom will keep you updated as I know of things.
I can't believe that it is already 3 pm. Mom is going to relax for a bit before dinner time. Mark and Mom have a couple of things that we need to look at on the computer as well so we will do that before dinner as well. I will be back tomorrow with another letter to you. I will whisper to you as I always do every night and I will light the candle for you, Helen and Yvette. Just know it is shining bright for all our family, friends and pets that are with you now. I miss you so much my sweet precious son. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you are in my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom sure hopes that your night is everything you want it to be and need it to be. It you can, come be by Mom while I sleep tonight or visit me in my dreams. Thank you pumpkin! Until tomorrow comes.....good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the daily prayer for today:
When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning. John 15:26–27, NIV
Great God and Savior, you want to lead us by the hand so that in communion with you we learn how to live a true life. We thank you for everything we have already received. Guide us still, we pray. Through your Spirit lead us in all areas of our life. Grant us the Spirit, who can illumine our hearts to help us find new courage and new strength and new recognition of the truth. All our praise belongs to you, for you alone can quicken us. You alone free us from the pain of death and from all burdens, so that in spite of toil and struggle we may always be lifted up to you, our God on high, to the glory of your name on earth. Amen.
