Hi pumpkin! How are you doing on this Sunday afternoon? Mom is doing alright considering I didn't get much sleep last night. I think tonight will be a night that I will be going to bed really early for sure and hopefully I will be sleeping like a baby!
Today is Grandpa Birthday! Make sure to go see him and send him a sign to let him know that you are around. He told me that he went to visit you and Grammy the other day. Guess he goes there at least once a week. That made me smile. We had a great weekend with Grandpa and Debbie. They arrived here around 11 am. We visited until about 1 pm and then decided to go to the mall to a few stores and then grab a late lunch/early dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. After that we came home and we visited and watch the Red Sox game and had ice cream cake for dessert. Poker came right after that and we played until about 9:45 pm and then got everything ready for them to sleep. Mark and Mom went to bed and Grandpa and Debbie stayed up and watched TV for about an hour. We were all up at 7:30 am. Mark was up around 2:30 am not feeling so well so Mom was up with him. Everything is fine now though. Everyone got ready this morning and then we headed out for Grandpa's Birthday lunch at the Clam Box. Nobody was there at all because the weather is pretty cold today. It is only 60 degrees and windy. Perfect day to go there. We got seated, ordered and our food came within a few minutes. We left there and then went to the hardware store to get Grandpa some sand paper for the sander that we got him. We got back to the apartment around 1 pm and we had the chance to visit for a couple more hours before they had to get on the road to go back home. All in all it was a wonderful weekend that was pretty laid back which was nice. Grandpa had a good time and a good birthday so far and Debbie needed the 2 days to get away so that she wasn't thinking about her upcoming surgery in 9 days. Since everyone left, Mom was able to clean the bathrooms, do the laundry, vacuum and now write to you. Mark is relaxing because he still doesn't feel all that great. He is watching the Patriots play against the Texans. Yup... today is the official start to football season! Doesn't seem possible but today's weather sure makes it feel that way...lol. Patriots are winning so I know you are happy! Cowboys play in about 45 minutes. Hope they win their first game too. Their pregames haven't been great though....go figure on that one. The rest of the afternoon and evening will be filled with doing nothing! Relaxing, watching football and I will give Meme a call as well in a bit. Tomorrow is Monday already and it is back to work for Mark and school for me. Mark has a very busy busy week ahead for him so he needs to get all the sleep and rest he can. Mom does too if I am going to get through this course. I will be working on exam 5 tomorrow. Hopefully it will be better than the last one. Thinking positive thoughts!
Mom will light the candle for you in a bit after I am done writing. I will whisper to you as I always do each and every night. I sure hope that you have a good evening doing all the things you need and want to do. Come visit Mom if you can tonight while I sleep. I would really like that my sweet precious son. You are missed so much by Mom and so many other family and friends. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. You are my hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you are in my heart, mind, body and soul. Mom will be back tomorrow with another letter to you after a day of studying. Please continue to watch over us all like I know you do. Thank you for that. Continue to fly free with the Angels above. Until tomorrow comes.... good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is the prayer for the day:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Ephesians 6:10–11, NIV
Lord God, we thank you that it is your will to strengthen us through your presence, through Jesus Christ, the leader of your cause, who is and remains victor among all on earth. Our souls need strength and our hearts need confidence so that in our time we can draw near to you and to your kingdom. Bless us with the Holy Spirit whenever we begin to grow weary. Your Holy Spirit can give us the strength to believe and hope, the strength to see the salvation that is coming to give joy to all the world. Amen.
