Dear Tyler,

Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Monday late afternoon? Today is Martin Luther King Day today so everything was pretty much closed. Mark worked though & Mom just finished another training class for her CEU. I did good on this one! I aced it with a 100%. That makes 3 now....my new class will be starting up in 2 days. I am anxious & nervous but also excited for it as well. I am sure I will learn a lot from it. I know you will be with Mom every step of the way so I am not worried at all. The weather today was beautiful. It was chilly but the sun was shining & blue skies. It made me smile for most of the day! Mom is sorry that I did not write to you last night but I was doing what probably every other person was & that was watching the 2 football games. It was Green Bay vs Cowboys & Steelers vs Chiefs. Both of the games were so close & within seconds of it ending. Green Bay won by a field goal in the last 3 seconds of the game so I know you are proud of your team....lol. I guess the same thing pretty much happened for the 2nd game with the Steelers winning in the last couple seconds as well. I don't know as I fell asleep. Either way all the teams played well & no one should feel bad about losing. The Super Bowl will be in 3 weeks ( February 5th ). Mom is predicting that it will be the Patriots vs Steelers now since the Cowboys are out. We will see....whoever goes .....regardless it will be a great game. Stay tuned on that one! Anyways...yesterday Mark & Mom went out & did the grocery shopping & I got my nails done. We got home just in time before the 1st game started. I made dinner & then watched TV all night. I did speak to Grandpa & Debbie briefly. They are well. Then Mom went to bed because I was so tired. I actually got a lot of sleep which I needed so I am hoping that I get more tonight. I was able to touch base with Aunt Beck for just a couple seconds today too. We are going to chat on the phone Friday as she was busy all week & then she will be having company over for the next 3 days. Just busy.....she also leaves for Ecuador in 9 days as well for her 4 week trip. That came up really fast for her...wow! Mom knows you will be with her as she travels to South America. Thank you my sweet precious son! Not much else is new to share with you right now. Its been quiet the last couple of days. I will try to touch base with others during the week to see how everyone is doing. I do have a couple daily prayers to catch up on so here they are. January 15~ It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. You really do light up my way, Lord! Whenever I feel myself groping in the darkness of uncertainty, confusion, or fear, I turn to you & you enlighten my mind to the truth & show me the way through. I depend on your guiding Holy Spirit & your Word to illuminate my heart & mind with truth & wisdom for making right choices. How I lost I would be without you! So I look to you again today to light my way, dear Lord. Please come & light up my darkness. On dark nights while camping in the woods, one cannot walk even ten feet without tripping over something---- a root or a rock----otherwise easily stepped over in the daytime. The smallest light in such thick darkness is a great blessing. What bit of light in my darkness can I be thankful for today? Amen.
January 16~ For who is God except the Lord? And who is a rock besides our God?----the God who girded me with strength & made my way safe. My gracious God! You know I look to no false god of this world----not to money or material things, not to prestige or power, not to intellect or skill----to sustain my well-being & happiness. All of these earthly things can disappear in an instant from the landscape of my life. History clearly reveals that life's amenities can be here one day & gone the next. Not so with you, Lord. You are rock steady, eternal & unfailing. You alone can keep me safe. The true man trusts in a strength which is not his & which he does not feel, does not even always desire. Amen.
Mom's quotes today will be from Martin Luther King himself.... to honor him.....
" Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend. "
" The time is always right to do what is right. "
" If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward. "
The night sky is upon us already tonight. I will look to it later & whisper to you as I am looking for the stars & the moon shining bright. Be listening for my voice. Smile when I smile, ok? I miss you more than words can say. I love you to the moon & back & all the way around the world. To infinity & beyond. You are my hero & the wind beneath my wings. You live forever in my heart, mind, body & soul. Never stop feeling this, please. Thank you.
Mom hopes that your evening will be filled with things you need to do & want to do. Have fun while I sleep tonight. Come visit me if you can. I would love that! Good night & sweet dreams, Tyler. Until tomorrow......
 Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
