Dear Tyler,

Hi pumpkin! How are you doing on this Monday afternoon? Yesterday was the holiday~ Veterans Day but they are celebrating it today so many folks have today off~ a 3 day weekend. Mom wants to apologize to you for not writing you a letter yesterday like I said that I would. It was a crazy day for sure. Mom was up early feeding the pups, making coffee for Mark while he slept in. We lounged in bed for a couple hours and then got up and got ready because his friend Rick was going to be here around 12 noon. Mom made a nice brunch for us all. Eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, etc... well Mark and I enjoyed it because Rick didn't get here until 1 pm. Mom did fix him a plate though and we reheated it when he got here. We watched football for a bit. The Patriots were playing against the Titans. We really thought that the Patriots were going to win but they did not. The Titans beat them 34-10!Cowboys played the late game last night against the Eagles and they won too. It was a good football day all around! After the early game was over, Mark and Rick went and sat on the balcony to just chat and catch up on things. They were out there for about an hour but came in because it was so cold outside ( 35 degrees all day yesterday!). They made their way down to Mark's office to do some computer work while Mom prepped dinner for us all. While dinner was cooking, Mom cuddled on the couch and watched a movie. Dinner was at 6 pm and then I did the dishes. I spoke to Meme and also Grandpa while Rick was still here. He left around 8:30 pm. We did not end up having a skype call with Tubal and Karen again. We called them and left a message but never heard back. After Rick left we watched the Cowboys game until 3rd quarter and then headed to bed because at that point it was 10:30 pm. We were both tired. Mom however slept like crap. I did not sleep well at all. I was up a lot during the night. I don't know why though. I was up early again this morning...6:45 am but I guess Mark was up earlier than that and fed the pups for me which was sweet. Mom laid in bed for a bit this morning because I had a headache. I got up around 10 am and I actually made the bed, got ready, took the pups for a nice walk, did the laundry, made something to eat and then came right in to start studying. That was not successful at all to say the least. I did however get an email back from my instructor and I submitted my exam. Hopefully I will do okay on it. I am now working on the next couple chapters. I would like to be done this course by next week before Thanksgiving break. That is my goal!
Today is a special day for a couple of reasons! It is November 12th and it is Pepe's birthday today. Please give him a hug from Mom. I sure do miss him very much. Auntie Kristina's birthday and it is our cousins wife , Heather's birthday as well. Today is also the day, right around this exact time as well 23 years ago when Mom had her first radiation treatment when I was in the hospital all those years ago. I remember it so well. Just like it was yesterday. I remember being wheeled down for the treatment, being scared because I didn't know what to expect and whispering along the way, Happy Birthday Pepe. At that time he has been gone for 7 years. Lots of reflecting today for sure for Mom. I sure hope you, Nana and all our family are celebrating his special day with him. Mom has lit the candle for you already and I wished Pepe a Happy Birthday as well. I hope he heard it and he was smiling down on Mom. I love him very much. I love you to the moon and back and all the way around the world. I miss you like crazy too. You are my superhero. You are the wind beneath my wings. Forever you will remain living in my heart, mind, body and soul.
Today is also a very sad day for the comic book world here. Stan Lee, the writer and producer of all the super hero shows, movies, etc... has gained his Angel wings today. He was 95 years old. The super hero world will never be the same again. This world lost a wonderful and creative man. May Stan Lee R.I.P. for all eternal life now.
Mom will fill you in on all the updates from the weekend and the call that I had with Aunt Beck this afternoon on tomorrows letter. It is getting really dark right now and it is almost time to feed the pups as it is going on 4:30 pm. Mom will be back though with another letter to you tomorrow morning as the afternoon will be chaos with the maintenance guys coming to do some work in the apartment. Mom will have to control the pups and it will be super loud in here. I sure hope you have a wonderful evening tonight. Have fun while Mom tries to get some solid sleep tonight. Come visit me or sit next to me while I sleep if you can. I will whisper to you in a bit. Smile for Mom and I will smile to you too. Until tomorrow comes my sweet precious son.
 Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!

Here is the prayer for the day:

For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night...But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5:2,4–5, NIV
Lord our God, we hold to you and to your promise. Though much is hidden from us, your voice comes clearly to us proclaiming, "Watch and pray. You are to await the day of Jesus Christ your Lord, and you can rejoice now in the midst of strife, distress, fear, and need." We thank you for your powerful Word. However long the time of waiting may be, your Word remains eternally and will be fulfilled. Your name shall be honored in the proclamation of your Word, your kingdom shall come, and your will shall be done on earth as in heaven. Amen.
