Hi my sweet son! How are you doing on this Friday late afternoon? It is 4:41 pm and it is already dark outside like it was 10 pm. We are in for some nasty weather tonight. I guess we are suppose to get some heavy rain and high winds until tomorrow mid day. We are also in a flood warning. Definitely not a fun way to start the weekend out but Mom has no control over it so I will not be stressing out. Please just make sure that we are all safe. Thank you so much Ty!
Today has been a busy day for Mom. I was up at 7 am and Mark actually fed the pups for me which was a nice change. I lounged in bed for about an hour and then I was up, got ready, made the bed, took the pups for a long walk, made homemade banana bread and breakfast for me, did all those dishes and then came in my office to see if I received an email from my instructor but that was a big no so I decided to pay some bills on line and that took my afternoon with also phone calls that I needed to make. I have dinner in the oven while I am writing to you and Mark is just finishing up his day from work. I need to feed the pups though and soon because it is 5 pm on the dot and Ozzy is cranky...lol!
Last night was not a good night for Mark. He was gone all day and he arrived home around 6:15 pm. Earlier than what I thought he would be home but he was not well. He was practically sick the entire drive home. He came in, said nothing and headed straight for the bathroom. He didn't even eat dinner last night. He was hot and cold and just sat on the couch with his eyes closed if he was not in the bathroom. Mom watched TV and cuddled with the pups so that Mark could have some much needed quiet time. Mom watched a movie and then headed to bed at 10:15 pm. Mark was already asleep. Today he is doing better. He has been able to eat and keep it all down. He thinks that what he had for lunch and then smoking a cigar on the way home made him sick. Tonight we will be just kicking back having dinner, Mom will clean up and then we will watch TV and bed time will be early as Mom has an appointment for her nails at 9 am. That is so early for me but I will have the chance to get a lot done in a short time! I have not been to the nail salon in over a month so my nails are needing it. They are so long and Mom snapped one yesterday. All will be better come morning though! Phones didn't ring at all last night and I don't expect them to ring again tonight either. Mom will call Meme and Grandpa over the weekend to check in on things though. I will touch base with Aunt Beck and maybe Bean next week some time too. Mom can't believe that in less than 2 weeks it is Thanksgiving. That is so crazy. We are not sure if we are going to NH or not this year. The last 2 years we have stayed home. We usually travel up there for Christmas but not sure of that either because of Mark's niece's wedding on 12/29 in Kentucky. It also depends on the weather too. Everything just seems to be up in the air these days over the holidays. We will have to make some serious decisions in a couple weeks though.
I hear Ozzy whining because he is hungry. Mom just took about 10 minutes away from your letter to go feed them. As always, he just ate like he never has before and Princess took some time tonight. I wonder if she is not feeling well. She has really slept most of the day in her little bed. She will snuggle up with Mom later when I watch TV. Mom sure hopes that you have some fun tonight while I am sleeping. I know you must be very busy with doing things and traveling to places because Aunt Beck says she hasn't seen you in a while. Come visit with Mom in my dreams if you can tonight. I sure hope I get some sleep and feel rested in the morning. I will light a new candle for you in a couple minutes and I will be whispering to you in a few hours before I go to sleep. Smile when you hear Mom and I will smile right back to you. Mom needs to get going for now though so I can finish up dinner. I miss you and I love you to the moon and back. You are my super hero and the wind beneath my wings. Forever you are living inside my heart, mind, body and soul. I will be back tomorrow so until then...good night and sweet dreams.
Always, Mommy xoxoxo. Muah!
Here is today's prayer:
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 3:13, NIV
Lord our God, dear Father, may we be gathered in your light. Through your Spirit strengthen our hearts to hold fast to you, for you remain our help, our counsel, our comfort throughout our life and in all eternity. Send us Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, and grant that again and again we may find newness of life through him. Grant that we become attentive to him, who is risen from the dead and who will come again to complete the work he began in his life on earth. We remember your promise, O Lord God, and we remain with you. We have little strength, and through us as we are you can accomplish nothing. You alone can fulfill your promise through Jesus Christ, whom you will send to complete your works at his final coming. Amen.
